Implementing the Resolution of the District Party Congress (term 2020 - 2025), Dong Giang has achieved many important results so far. By the end of 2024 and estimated by the end of the term, the district has achieved 21/23 targets; there are 2 difficult targets including building a new rural commune (NTM) and building a school that meets national standards.
* Could you please tell us what are the results achieved after 4 years of implementing the Resolution of the 19th Dong Giang District Party Congress?
* Mr. Le Duy Thang: In the work of Party building and political system building, Dong Giang completed the planning of Party committees, standing committees of Party committees, key leadership positions at all levels; leadership and management positions of departments, offices and branches of the district.
Up to now, the District Party Committee has admitted 355 outstanding people into the Party (reaching 90% of the target). Striving to develop 80 new Party members in the first quarter of 2025, exceeding the target set in the resolution (400 Party members).
The district Party Committee has led the implementation of three breakthroughs quite well. That is, improving the quality of the staff and civil servants; trained workers with degrees and certificates account for 27%.
Projects linking production and consumption chains of products are formed (cinnamon, spotted deer, durian, black pig...). Complete the project to develop district roads and rural traffic in the period of 2021-2025; 100% of villages and residential groups have national grid electricity and 11/11 commune and town centers have street lighting.

* What are the specific achievements in economic, cultural and social development, security and defense, sir?
* Mr. Le Duy Thang: The local economy continues to grow steadily, the estimated production values have increased compared to the resolution targets. The total estimated production value is nearly 2,574 billion VND, an average increase of 9.97%.
Production value of all sectors reached and exceeded the annual target. Budget revenue was about 2,866 billion VND, exceeding 24.69% compared to the resolution target (2,299 billion VND).
Maintained the standard results, the quality of universal education at all levels was improved. Poverty reduction work was directed to be implemented drastically, thanks to which since the beginning of the term, more than 700 households have been reduced. The average income per capita in 2024 is estimated at 42 million VND/person/year. In 2024, more than 500 temporary houses will be eliminated.
The average number of NTM criteria achieved in the whole district is 15.5 criteria/commune, an increase of 1.6 criteria (13.9 criteria at the beginning of the term). The rate of households using clean water for daily life accounts for 97%, meeting the target set by the resolution. All communes and towns are strong in national defense and security, including 5 communes with comprehensive strength; annual military recruitment reaches 100% of the assigned target.
* So what are the limitations and difficulties identified by Dong Giang district?
* Mr. Le Duy Thang: The locality has identified that in the coming time, it will still have to face many difficulties and challenges. For example, people's lives are still difficult, natural disasters and epidemics often occur, causing significant impacts on socio-economic development.
Infrastructure is still lacking, not meeting the needs of production development and people's daily life. The application of science and technology, innovative startups is not high. The quality of human resources does not meet the development requirements in the new situation. The poverty rate is still high; the number of temporary and dilapidated houses is still large.
Building schools that meet national standards; new rural communes, advanced new rural communes, and model new rural communes is difficult to complete. National Highway 14G is a vital traffic route connecting to the dynamic area of Da Nang City but has not been upgraded or expanded, which is a bottleneck in calling for investment and promoting socio-economic development.
* Could you please tell us what tasks and solutions Dong Giang has proposed to overcome difficulties and limitations?
* Mr. Le Duy Thang: First of all, it is necessary to strengthen the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system to be clean, strong, and operate effectively and efficiently. Effectively deploy the theme "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" associated with building and rectifying the Party. Strengthen inspection and supervision work, especially inspection when there are signs of violations, resolutely and strictly handle officials and Party members who violate.
The district focuses on leading and directing more strongly economic indicators such as supporting to remove difficulties, creating conditions for enterprises to proactively and flexibly change production and business models to suit reality.
