(PLVN) - On March 5, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province held a conference to deploy the plan to implement the Quang Nam Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050; announced the conclusion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the working session with the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and investment promotion orientation in 2025.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung said that the conference was also an opportunity to realize the development views of the Provincial Party Executive Committee through the periods, focusing on the Resolution of the 22nd Quang Nam Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

This demonstrates the will and aspiration of Quang Nam to strive to become a fairly developed province in the country by 2030; to have a synchronous infrastructure network in a modern direction; to develop airports, seaports, logistics services, tourism, automobile industry, mechanical industry, and electricity at regional level; to form a national center for supporting industries, deep processing of agricultural and forestry products, medicinal materials, and silica; to have high-quality vocational training facilities; to have a rich cultural identity; most of the medical and educational facilities meet national standards; and to have a synchronous urban system linked with the countryside.

“This is an important event, demonstrating the strategic goals and vision of Quang Nam province to exploit and maximize its potentials and strengths, ensuring harmony between socio-economic development and ecological environment protection; firmly on the journey to become a fairly developed province of the country, “an important growth pole of the Central Highlands region”, Mr. Dung emphasized.

The Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee also said that in 2025, many large-scale projects will be implemented, including the Cua Lo Stream Project and Thaco's Logistics Center; expansion of Hoi An Resort; expansion of Hyosung Factory phase 2; investment in upgrading Chu Lai airport; high-tech livestock project in Que Lam commune (Que Son)...

In addition, Quang Nam will also prioritize attracting investment in strategic areas such as mining industry (gold, soil, gravel, sand); renewable energy; development of medicinal herbs through the Project "Development and formation of a medicinal herb industry center in Quang Nam province with Ngoc Linh ginseng as the main crop"; silica project; cooperative economy and cooperatives associated with OCOP products to solve employment for rural workers, create sustainable income sources and promote local economic development.

“This conference is an opportunity for agencies, businesses and investors to share ideas, methods and valuable experiences to realize the goals of the Provincial Planning. Developing infrastructure, attracting investment and creating a favorable environment for businesses will be the key tasks in the coming time,” said Mr. Dung.

Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung announced a summary of the Prime Minister's Decision on promulgating the plan to implement the Quang Nam Provincial Planning.

Also at the Conference, Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung announced a summary of Decision No. 64/QD-TTg dated January 9, 2025 of the Prime Minister on promulgating the plan to implement the Quang Nam Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Standing Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh announced the summary of Decision No. 463/QD-TTg dated February 28, 2025 of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Development and formation of a medicinal plant industry center in Quang Nam province with Ngoc Linh ginseng as the main crop"; Notice No. 40/TB-VPCP dated February 12, 2025 of the Government Office on the conclusion of the Prime Minister at the working session with the Standing Committee of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.

In addition, within the framework of the conference, Quang Nam provincial leaders awarded investment registration certificates to 6 projects:

Kyung Rim Tech Co., Ltd. (Korea) implemented the Wiring harness auto parts assembly project at Dien Nam Dien Ngoc Industrial Park, with a total capital of 146 billion VND; Oriental Commerce Vina Co., Ltd. (Korea) invested in the packaging industry support factory project at Tam Thang Industrial Park, with a total capital of 186 billion VND; Thaco Auto Co., Ltd. invested in the construction of Thaco Auto research and development center (R&D) at Chu Lai Truong Hai Automobile Mechanical Industrial Park, with a total capital of more than 292 billion VND; Standard Track Company Limited (China) invested in a household appliances factory at Tam Thang 2 Industrial Park with a total capital of more than 58 billion VND; Portillo Estudio Limited Company (Hong Kong) implemented the Portillo Estudio Limited Rental Factory project in Quang Nam at Dien Nam Dien Ngoc Industrial Park with a total capital of more than 216 billion VND;

Quang Nam province also granted an investment registration certificate for a flexible pipe manufacturing project, with a total investment capital of more than VND 187 billion, to Tucai, SA Company (Spain).

In addition, Quang Nam province also signed an agreement to study and invest in 4 projects with the following companies: Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company studies the project of dredging Cua Lo channel for 50,000-ton ships (Nui Thanh district) with a total capital of more than 7,200 billion VND; Capella Quang Nam Joint Stock Company will invest in the infrastructure of Tam Thang Industrial Park 2 expansion (Thang Binh district), with a total capital of more than 600 billion VND; Nam Hoi An Development Company Limited continues to invest in phase 2 of the Nam Hoi An Resort project, with a total capital of more than 1 billion USD; Viet Phuong Investment Group Joint Stock Company studies investment and business in the infrastructure of Bac Thang Binh 1 and Bac Thang Binh 2 Industrial Parks with a total capital of more than 6,500 billion VND.
