Nam Giang (Quang Nam): Support nearly 11 billion VND for people to develop garden economy

The People's Committee of Nam Giang District (Quang Nam) has just issued a Plan for developing garden economy and farm economy in 2025. In particular, the district has allocated a budget of about 10.9 billion VND to help many households develop their economy. In recent years, community tourism in Kon Tum province has developed quite impressively, not only meeting the new trends in tourism today, but also bringing resources for socio-economic development, improving the lives of people and ethnic minority communities. In particular, the Standing Committee of Kon Tum Provincial Party Committee has just issued Directive No. 27 "on developing community tourism in ethnic minority villages in Kon Plong district", which is considered a driving force to promote the development of community tourism in Kon Plong district in particular and the whole province in general. Accordingly, Nam Giang district supports about 100 garden owners to renovate and develop into gardens with economic value, meeting garden economic criteria according to the Project to support the development of garden economy and farm economy in the district in the period of 2022 - 2025 and post-investment support based on the results of actual inspection and assessment.

Nam Giang people promote garden economy development

The district strives for 100% of garden and farm owners to be trained and educated in management and advanced production techniques.

Support contents include building 1 water supply project for garden owners and up to 2 projects for farm owners; support for building and installing irrigation systems (advanced irrigation, water-saving irrigation such as drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, underground irrigation) to serve the development of garden economy and farm economy.

Support up to 50% of the cost for garden owners to renovate and improve their gardens and support the purchase of fertilizers, pesticides, and long-term crop seeds... The total cost of implementation is more than 10.9 billion VND, including the provincial and district budgets and counterpart capital of garden/farm owners.
