Launching the online contest "Learning about the law on gender equality in communes and towns of ethnic minority areas in Thua Thien Hue province"
The competition will take place over 4 weeks, starting from September 11, 2023 and ending on October 9, 2023, including 2 mandatory and incentive competitions.
For the compulsory exam, candidates will take a weekly multiple-choice test on the Internet according to the Organizing Committee's set of questions to learn about the Party's policies, the State's legal policies, documents of the Central Ministries, branches and Thua Thien Hue province related to gender equality work.
The multiple-choice test is organized online on the Internet, integrated on the website of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province; People's Committees of A Luoi, Nam Dong, Phu Loc districts, Huong Tra town, People's Committees of 24 communes and towns in ethnic minority areas in the province. Each week, 1 candidate is only allowed to take 1 test.
In the encouragement contest, contestants will create a video clip to promote gender equality. Accordingly, each agency, organization, unit, locality, group of authors, and individuals will create at least 1 video clip no longer than 5 minutes in the form of: reportage, sketch or models, initiatives, solutions, etc. to effectively communicate changes in "thinking and working methods" to contribute to eliminating gender prejudices and stereotypes in families and communities, harmful cultural practices, and some urgent social issues for women and children in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
Video clips must be created in 2023 and must not have overlapping ideas with video clips that have been entered in other competitions or have been promoted and disseminated in the media as of December 31, 2022. Video clips promoting gender equality must be sent directly to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province (via USB) for judging and awarding at the closing ceremony.

The Organizing Committee will award prizes for the multiple-choice test to individuals in each round, and prizes for the video clip creation competition and collective prizes will be awarded at the closing ceremony, expected to take place in mid-October 2023.
According to the Organizing Committee, the participants of the Contest are agencies, organizations, units, cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, members, students and people who are working, studying and residing in 24 communes and towns in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period of 2021-2025 according to Decision No. 861/QD-TTg dated June 4, 2021 of the Prime Minister.
The contest aims to widely propagate and disseminate policies and regulations of the law on gender equality, raise awareness and responsibility of cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, students and people about gender and gender equality, creating a spread in 24 communes and towns in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period of 2021-2025. Through the contest, select practical initiatives, models and effects for dissemination to contribute to the goal of mobilizing to change "thinking and doing" to eliminate gender prejudices and stereotypes in families and communities, harmful cultural practices and some urgent social issues for women and children in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in Thua Thien Hue province.
