Applications that have not paid the fee will not be considered.
In the online consultation program "Don't forget this if you want to be admitted to university" organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper on the afternoon of August 1, Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, Vice Principal of Duy Tan University, noted that if candidates "forget" to pay the admission fee according to regulations (between July 31 and before 5:00 p.m. on August 6), they will not be considered for admission and of course will not be on the admission list even if they meet the standard score.
Candidates must pay the admission fee for the wishes registered on the Ministry of Education and Training system to be considered for admission.
Many candidates also wondered about registering for multiple preferences but not paying the full admission fees for those preferences. Dr. Hai explained: "When entering the system to pay the fee, candidates will pay for each preference. Then, the system will confirm which preferences the candidate has paid for. If a candidate registers for 10 preferences but only pays for 5 preferences, only these 5 preferences will be entered into the system for virtual filtering."
Thus, according to Dr. Hai, applications that do not pay the fee will not be considered for admission. "If all five applications are not accepted, the system will stop and not consider the following applications. Even if the candidates have enough points to pass the exam, they will not have a chance to be accepted because they did not pay the fee," Dr. Hai shared.
Similarly, even if a candidate has been admitted through early admission methods and has entered his/her application into the Ministry of Education and Training's system, if he/she forgets to pay the admission fee, he/she will not be admitted.
Thousands of scholarships for early admission candidates
Candidate Duong Van Chien (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) wondered if he could go directly to the university to pay the admission fee to conveniently visit the school and whether the admission scores would be announced on the evening of August 22?
University representatives advise candidates in the program
Master Nguyen Ngoc Thach, Deputy Director of the Career Guidance and Admissions Center of the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City, noted: "Candidates must pay the fee on the portal of the Ministry of Education and Training and only paying the fee on this system will be recorded."
According to Master Thach, each region has its own fee payment period. After paying the fee on the Ministry of Education and Training's information portal, candidates can also visit the school to experience it so that they will not be confused when they enroll in the school later.
In addition, Master Thach said that before 5:00 p.m. on August 22, schools will announce the admission results and from August 23 to September 6, candidates will confirm their admission on the system and then go to school to enroll.
"1,000 candidates who enroll early at the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City will receive a 3 million VND admission fee support," Master Thach informed.
Meanwhile, Nguyet Le (Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City) asked: "I like to study architecture so I registered for this major at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. If I am accepted, will I confirm my admission on the Ministry of Education and Training system or go to the school to confirm my admission? In case I return to my hometown and cannot enroll in time, can I ask a family member to go to the school to complete the admission procedures?"
Mr. Vu Quang Huy, Deputy Director of the Admissions Consulting Center of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, noted that after being admitted, candidates must confirm their admission on the Ministry of Education and Training's information portal. "Regarding admission procedures, candidates can ask relatives to do it, but it is best for them to go directly to the school," Mr. Huy advised.
It is known that this year, 2,000 early admission candidates to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology will receive scholarships of 5 million VND/student.
In addition, Duy Tan University also offers more than 4,000 scholarships with a total value of more than 100 billion VND to high school candidates nationwide who register to study at the school during the 2023 enrollment season.
