Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), the investor of Long Thanh Airport Component 3 project, has just announced the results of the contractor selection for package 4.9 - construction, equipment installation and design drawings for the aircraft fuel supply system.
The items of Long Thanh airport are being started one after another.
Accordingly, the consortium of Vietnam Oil and Gas Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) and BCA Thang Long Company Limited is the winning contractor for this package. The winning bid price is nearly VND 2,900 billion, the contract implementation period is 20 months (2 months shorter than the bidding schedule).
Package 4.9 was widely bid online, closing on July 30, 2024 with 3 bidders participating. Of which, 2 bidders were eliminated in the technical evaluation step because they did not meet the requirements.
After announcing the contractor selection results, ACV will negotiate and finalize the contract with the winning contractor consortium. It is expected that construction of Package 4.9 will begin at the end of October.
According to ACV, currently the main packages of the component project 3 are basically meeting the set schedule. The construction site has nearly 6,000 domestic and international engineers and workers with thousands of machines, vehicles and equipment for construction. Construction teams are also deployed to the maximum, working continuously day and night with the highest goal of speeding up the progress. Currently, it is at the end of the rainy season, when the dry season comes, the construction will be accelerated even more.
Of which, package 5.10 - passenger terminal has so far reached nearly 30% value. The joint venture contractor has completed all reinforced concrete columns, floor beams of each floor. Currently, the steel roof structure is being fabricated and installed.
In parallel with the construction progress of the rough part, all the procurement and ordering of ME equipment, station equipment, HBS system, and facade glass walls have been implemented, signed contracts with suppliers and manufacturers, and are in the process of manufacturing and processing components... according to the set schedule.
The station has taken shape, progressing dozens of days ahead of schedule.
The expected progress is to complete the entire construction before December 2025, complete the facade erection before March 2026 in parallel with the completion work, installation of test equipment from the beginning of 2026 and strive to complete before August 31, 2026.
Package 4.6 - runway, taxiway and apron has so far reached about 30% of the contract value. Excavation, sand filling, crushed stone, M150 and M350 cement concrete are being carried out.
The runway section has completed the base layer, road foundation, and basically completed the M150/25 cement concrete layer. Currently, the M350/45 cement concrete surface layer is being deployed (reaching about 40%), expected to be completed and put into technical operation before April 30, 2025 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification, 3 months ahead of the contract schedule.
For package 6.12 - connecting road T1, T2, the contractor has mobilized 756 personnel, 150 machines and equipment to the construction site and deployed all construction teams simultaneously. K95, K98 soil filling on route 2 has been and is being filled, crushed stone aggregate is being spread on routes T1, T2. Bored piles are deployed, bridge piers, Super T girders, hollow slab girders, soil cement piles, drainage system are being constructed. Up to now, the value of the construction volume has reached nearly 55% of the contract value.
The projects mobilized many machines and equipment to speed up construction.
It is expected that Route 1 will be completed in November 2025, and the intersection of Route 1 and Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway will be completed in August 2025. Construction of the intersection of Route 2 and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway will be completed in October 2025. Completion of the project and handover for use will be completed in December 2025.
Package 4.7 - construction and installation of equipment for aircraft parking facilities and other works was also signed from September 15, 2024. The winning consortium includes the contractor ACC Aviation Construction Corporation - Truong Son Construction Corporation - Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation - Vietnam Construction Investment Development Joint Stock Company - Cienco 4 Group Joint Stock Company - Six Four Seven Aviation Construction Joint Stock Company.
ACV has started construction of the package since the end of September with an implementation period of 690 days (nearly 2 years). Expected completion date is August 11, 2026.
Long Thanh airport component projects are progressing well.
Project Component 2 of the air traffic control works has basically achieved the set progress. In particular, the project's critical path air traffic control tower has been roughly completed, and was just topped out at the end of September, and the remaining items are being installed.
As for component project 1 - Headquarters of state management agencies, the construction progress must be synchronized with component project 3.
Component 4 project is also inviting bids for priority projects. For the remaining projects, the Ministry of Transport has reported.
The Government on the urgency and priority of investment. At the same time, it agreed on the list of projects assigned to ACV to implement to ensure the synchronous exploitation chain of the port.
Component project 5 - re-establishing infrastructure outside the boundary of Long Thanh airport is expected to be completed in November 2024.
Currently, 6 packages of component project 5 have completed construction; 3 packages have completed over 75% of the construction volume and 1 package has completed about 50% of the construction volume.
The project to restore infrastructure outside the boundary of Long Thanh airport has a total of 10 bidding packages corresponding to 10 works including: Binh Son Commune Police Headquarters; Binh Son Commune Cultural - Sports and Community Learning Center; and internal road infrastructure in Binh Son Commune administrative area.
In addition, there are also the cultural house and kindergarten in Hamlet 2, Binh Son Commune; Cau Men Street; the office of the People's Council and People's Committee of Binh Son Commune; Hamlet 2 Street, Binh Son Commune; Bau Can - Suoi Trau - Cam Duong Street; medium and low voltage power grid system. The project has a total investment of more than 479 billion VND.
