Vietnam Airlines opens direct flight connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Denpasar

During the State visit of General Secretary To Lam to Indonesia, Vietnam Airlines officially announced the operation of direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Denpasar from June 2025.


Accordingly, in the first phase, from June 1, Vietnam Airlines will operate direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Denpasar with a frequency of 4 round trips per week on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

During the State visit of General Secretary To Lam to Indonesia, Vietnam Airlines officially announced the operation of direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Denpasar.

From July 2025, the airline will increase the frequency to 7 round trips per week. Flights are operated by Airbus A321 aircraft, providing a comfortable and convenient experience for passengers.

With the opening of the new route, this is Vietnam Airlines' second route connecting Vietnam - Indonesia, helping to increase the airline's total number of flights between the two countries to 14 flights per week.

According to a representative of Vietnam Airlines, the new route will open up many opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the future, promoting tourism development. In recent times, the number of tourists to Indonesia has grown strongly. In contrast, Vietnam is a market with a large potential source of tourists to Indonesia.

Mr. Dang Ngoc Hoa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Airlines, said that the airline is committed to continuing to develop future routes by seeking and expanding cooperation opportunities with airlines, partners, and customers in the Indonesian market. At the same time, the airline plans to increase operating frequency and improve service quality at all touch points.

Mr. Dang Ngoc Hoa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Airlines, said that the airline is committed to continuing to develop flight routes in the future.

At the ceremony, Vietnam Airlines signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indonesian Association of Travel Agents (ASTINDO) on cooperation in developing tourism between Vietnam and Indonesia. This will be the basis for Vietnam Airlines to coordinate to promote two-way tourism, support each other in promotional activities, marketing and cooperation in aviation products and services.

For many years, the Indonesian tourism market has always been considered the largest in Southeast Asia with the 4th largest population in the world. The total number of air passengers traveling between Vietnam and Indonesia will reach more than 800,000 in 2024, an increase of 61% compared to 2019.

Vietnam Airlines has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indonesian Association of Travel Agents (ASTINDO) on cooperation in developing tourism between Vietnam and Indonesia.

By opening a direct flight to Denpasar, Vietnam Airlines continues to affirm its role as the National Airline in its efforts to expand its flight network, strengthen Vietnam's connection with the world, and accompany the country in its rise in the new era.

In particular, on the occasion of the opening of the route, Vietnam Airlines said it will launch a special promotion program with round-trip tickets starting from only VND 4,525,000 (including taxes and fees). The program applies to flights departing from June 1 to June 15. Tickets are on sale until March 30 through ticket offices, official agents, Vietnam Airlines' website and mobile application.
