Mobile World Investment Corporation (stock code: MWG) has just announced its business results for the first 7 months of 2024, recording net revenue of VND 76,541 billion, up 15% over the same period, completing 61% of the revenue plan.
In the revenue structure, Dien May Xanh accounts for the highest proportion, at 46.2%, followed by Bach Hoa Xanh at 30.1%, The Gioi Di Dong (including Topzone) at 20.9% and finally other segments.
In the first 7 months of the year, the total revenue of the Mobile World chain (including Topzone) and Dien May Xanh reached 51,300 billion VND, an increase of more than 6% over the same period.
In July 2024 alone, the revenue of these two chains reached VND 7,200 billion, up 5% over the same period but down compared to the previous month due to the end of the peak air-conditioning season and the end of the football event.
For Bach Hoa Xanh, in the first 7 months of 2024, this chain brought in about 23,000 billion VND for the group, an increase of 40% over the same period.
In July alone, Bach Hoa Xanh's revenue reached more than 3,600 billion VND, an increase of nearly 28% over the same period last year. Average revenue per store in July reached 2.1 billion VND.
As of the end of July 2024, the group had 1,028 Mobile World stores (including Topzone), down 18 stores compared to the end of June 2024. Similarly, the Dien May Xanh chain reduced 59 stores, down to 2,034 stores.

Meanwhile, Bach Hoa Xanh increased by 3 stores compared to last month, at 1,704 stores.
Notably, the An Khang pharmacy chain reduced its stores by 94 stores within 1 month, down to 387 pharmacies. Compared to the end of February 2024, Mobile World Investment Corporation reduced its stores by 117, but compared to the same period last year, the group reduced its stores by 150.
According to the plan, by the end of 2024, the number of An Khang pharmacies will be reduced to about 300 stores.
Recently, Mobile World Investment Corporation has approved the decision to dissolve Tran Anh Digital World Corporation (Tran Anh Company - a subsidiary of Mobile World) for the purpose of optimizing operations.
This company used to be one of the leading electronics and computer retailers in the Northern region from 2007 to 2017.
Previously, also for the reason of optimizing operations, Mobile World dissolved two subsidiaries, Toan Tin Logistics JSC and 4KFARM JSC.
