On January 15, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy chaired the announcement of the decision to conduct a thematic inspection on the management of exploration, survey, planning, licensing, exploitation, and transportation of construction material mines in the three provinces of Bac Giang, Hai Duong, and Phu Tho.
Mr. Duong Quoc Huy, Deputy Inspector General of the Government, spoke at the announcement of the inspection decision.
The decision of the Government Inspector General clearly states that the inspection period is from January 1, 2019 to June 30, 2024; if necessary, it can be considered before and after this period.
The inspection team consists of 10 members led by Mr. Ngo Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Inspection, Complaints and Denunciations, Region 1 (Department I) as the head of the team and Mr. Nguyen The Cuong, Deputy Head of Professional Department I - Department I, as the deputy head of the team.
The inspection period is 60 working days from the date of announcement of the decision.
Standing Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Luu Van Ban, Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Phan Trong Tan and representatives of Bac Giang province all affirmed to strictly comply with the inspection decision.
In particular, localities will direct the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to prepare documents and files to serve the inspection team.
Emphasizing that this is a planned thematic inspection, Mr. Duong Quoc Huy hopes that through the inspection, problems and inadequacies in mechanisms, legal policies will be discovered and advantages, limitations and shortcomings in management work will be pointed out in order to have measures to improve effectiveness and efficiency and strictly handle violations.
Mr. Huy requested the leaders of the three provinces to direct relevant agencies, organizations and units to strictly implement the inspection decision and closely coordinate, creating conditions for the inspection team to successfully complete its tasks.
The Government Inspectorate leader also reminded the team leader, members of the inspection team and the monitoring team to perform their duties in accordance with regulations and not to allow violations to occur.
The inspection process must have a reasonable work schedule; when making reporting requests and providing documents, it must be clear and specific to facilitate coordination among local agencies and units.
In particular, according to Mr. Huy, it is necessary to strictly maintain discipline in speaking, keep information confidential and not let inspection activities affect the normal work of relevant agencies, organizations and units.
