Cao Bang requests to postpone direct inspection until after Lunar New Year

(Dan Tri) - With the reason that Lunar New Year is approaching, the leader of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee requested the Government Inspectorate to postpone the direct inspection of land management and mining until after Tet.

Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy has just chaired the announcement of the decision to inspect the management and use of land and the management of exploration, survey, planning, licensing, exploitation and transportation of construction material mines at the People's Committee of Cao Bang province.

The inspection period is 60 actual working days from the date of announcement of the decision.

The inspection period for land management and use is from 2015 to June 2024; the management of exploration, survey, planning, licensing, exploitation and transportation of construction material mines is from 2019 to June 2024.

When necessary, the Government Inspectorate may review before or after the above period. The inspection team has 8 members led by Mr. Nguyen Viet Thach, Deputy Director of Department I, Government Inspectorate.

Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Van Thach affirmed that he will strictly implement the decision of the Government Inspector General and direct departments and branches to closely coordinate with the inspection team during the entire working process in the locality, providing full records and documents as requested.

Citing the fact that the Lunar New Year is approaching, the leader of the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee requested the Government Inspectorate to postpone the direct inspection time in the locality until after the Lunar New Year to prepare reports and documents to provide to the inspection team in full.

Deputy Inspector General Duong Quoc Huy said this was a planned inspection. The inspection aimed to detect problems and inadequacies in policies and laws to recommend remedial measures to competent authorities.

The inspection also aims to detect advantages, limitations and shortcomings in management in order to take measures to improve effectiveness and efficiency and strictly handle violations.

Mr. Huy requested the leaders of Cao Bang province to direct relevant agencies to provide documents and files as requested by the delegation and promptly complete the report according to the outline.

For the inspection team, the Government Inspectorate leader directs the implementation of the approved plan and complies with the provisions of the law on inspection.

The head of the delegation, members of the delegation and the inspection supervision team must perform their duties in accordance with regulations, especially strictly maintaining discipline in speaking and keeping information confidential during the inspection process.

Regarding the request to postpone the inspection, Mr. Huy requested the inspection team to accept all opinions and report to the Government Inspector General to implement in accordance with the law.
