Ho Chi Minh City youths at the District 10 military transfer point were assigned to the following units: Naval Brigade 101, Naval Brigade 957, Naval Region 4 Training Center, Naval Region 2 Training Center, and Division 377, Gia Dinh Regiment. Six female citizens participating in military service were assigned to the Military School of Military Region 7.

Also on the morning of February 27, in Thu Duc city, attending the ceremony and seeing off young men to join the army were Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Huu Hiep, Secretary of the Thu Duc City Party Committee; Mr. Hoang Tung, Chairman of the Thu Duc City People's Committee.
The young men who enlisted were assigned to the following units: Infantry Division 9 (Corps 4), Air Defense Division 367, Air Force Division 370, Reconnaissance Battalion 47 (Military Region 7), Gia Dinh Regiment and Ho Chi Minh City Police.
