Thanh Loc and Huu Chau continue to "pair up" on stage. After the artist couple Le Khanh - Tuan Khai left Thien Dang stage, many plays that they participated in here such as Ngu Quy Tuong Phung, 13 Duc Thay, Chuyen Do Dinh Menh, Nhung Con Ma Nha Thea ... had to adjust the actors.

Among them, 13 Duc Thay (directed by Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc) is perhaps the play with the most drastic changes in characters and plot. Many audiences feel that the new version brings an interesting breeze, enough to attract them to watch it again and again, including Thanh Loc's role.

First time acting as a couple at Thien Dang

Besides performing some "key" scenes of the role of Bao Sanh Dai De, Thanh Loc also took on the role of Ba Than - the wife of the district mandarin Phuoc (Meritorious Artist Huu Chau).

When Thien Dang stage announced the first information about this combination, many audiences were extremely excited. Tran Kim Xuan (25 years old) told Tuoi Tre: "I'm waiting to buy tickets right away to watch the first performance of this new version, to see two big names of the stage act together."

After nearly 30 years of working together on stage, audiences have lost count of the number of plays Thanh Loc and Huu Chau have performed together, including several times as a couple. But this time, there are many reasons why audiences are so excited and looking forward to it.

Their most recent performance together was in the play Dream of Love performed at the Idecaf Drama Theater and was considered quite successful.

At that time, Huu Chau played the role of a powerful and majestic god who ruled the forest. Thanh Loc played the role of goddess My Ly - a mischievous wife but also full of sadness and jealousy towards her husband, the "god" Huu Chau.

With 13 Đức Thầy , this is the first time Thanh Loc and Huu Chau have played a married couple since working at Thien Dang stage. In the play, the two artists have moments of "throwing pieces", interacting... extremely affectionate and humorous.

The first night (March 21) of performing the new version of 13 Duc Thay , Huu Chau's unscripted line when he saw the district magistrate Thanh Loc almost fall in class standing behind the chair "I was really scared! We're just two old people relying on each other!" made many viewers emotional when they understood that their friendship and colleagueship were always present and close.

Right after the show, Huu Chau happily posted a photo with Thanh Loc in the role of the district magistrate on Facebook and wrote: "Excellent job, district magistrate Phuoc!".

Huu Chau - Thanh Loc: different but compatible

Sharing with the media, both Thanh Loc and Huu Chau admitted that they had many conflicts and disagreements at work but did not let this last long.

Many professionals and audiences feel that in daily life, Thanh Loc - Huu Chau are as different as two parallel lines, but on stage they are quite compatible and understand each other.

The two artists also have many similarities in their artistic approach, their thoughts on the stage, and their way of treating the audience who loves and follows them.

In Giang Huong , the first play to be performed by Thien Dang stage, Huu Chau plays Ba Hoai - a character that arouses curiosity in the audience because he seems to be obscure, just a shadow silently watching Giang Huong and Linh Nam (Thanh Loc) converse.

But in the final act, Huu Chau made the audience understand many things when talking about the artist's professional ethics.

Perhaps Linh Nam and Ba Hoai's thoughts on acting are also the same as Thanh Loc and Huu Chau's views on art.

In Thien Dang's current 10 plays, there are 7 plays with the participation of Huu Chau - Thanh Loc, typically Giang Huong, Duyen The, Nhung Con Ma Nha The, Chuyen Do Dinh Menh ... There is a certain interaction between them that is enough to make the audience excited.

While working at Idecaf Drama Theater, the harmonious combination of Thanh Loc and Huu Chau also made many plays "sold out" and highly appreciated by experts such as Cau Dong, Bi Mat Vuon Le Chi, Vua Thanh Trieu Le, Da Co Hoai Lang, 12 Ba Mu, Tam Cam ...

In particular, when transforming into Cam's mother and daughter in the play Tam Cam in the series Once Upon a Time, Thanh Loc and Huu Chau left unforgettable memories in the hearts of many generations of audiences.

And if we mention the similarities in background when Thanh Loc and Huu Chau were both born and raised in the oldest and most famous traditional opera families in Saigon, the Minh To and Thanh Minh - Thanh Nga families, then the audience will more or less understand why they can sympathize and accompany each other on such a long journey of performing arts.

13 The Master has a new wind

The play 13 The Master has adjusted and added some new pieces to suit the character's personality and story plot.

Two important roles (Mrs. Than and the shaman) once played by Le Khanh - Tuan Khai are now given to Thanh Loc and Truong Ha.

As for Le Hoang Giang, from the role of Mr. Khan (son of the district chief of Phuoc) in the old version, he became Duc Bao Sanh Dai De appearing in the last layer in the new version. Thanh Khon played the role of Mr. Khan.

All three young actors were considered to have fulfilled their roles well. Truong Ha received many compliments from the audience for not being overshadowed by the impression of the shaman Tuan Khai. Because he performed gracefully when the new version adjusted the shaman character to speak the language of the people of Xu Nau (Binh Dinh, Phu Yen).
