Implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 22, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc has just requested heads of agencies and units to implement key solutions to cut administrative procedures, improve the business environment, and promote socio-economic development.

In which, each agency and unit proposes to cut at least 30% of the time to carry out administrative procedures, cut at least 30% of administrative procedures with unnecessary business conditions (under the authority of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee or propose and recommend relevant ministries and branches to implement according to their authority).

This aims to contribute to reducing at least 30% of business costs for people and businesses when carrying out administrative procedures in Ho Chi Minh City, especially in the field of public investment.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested units to review, advise, and propose to the City People's Committee a comprehensive plan to cut and simplify business regulations that are barriers and cause difficulties for people and businesses, focusing on reviewing and proposing plans to cut and simplify administrative procedures related to business activities.

In addition, the Chairman of the City People's Committee also urged cadres and civil servants to strictly implement discipline and administrative order, proactively handle work according to assigned functions, tasks and powers with the highest sense of responsibility, and resolutely not allow the situation of shirking or avoiding responsibility to occur.

In particular, the Chairman of the City People's Committee noted the need to promptly detect and strictly handle acts of harassment, corruption, annoyance, and negativity to consolidate and enhance the trust of people, businesses, and investors.

At the meeting with the business community of Ho Chi Minh City held earlier, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc said that Ho Chi Minh City will promote administrative procedure reform, the city considers people and businesses as the center, the subjects that must be served. In addition, the city will promote traffic infrastructure, renew growth drivers and remove difficulties for 571 projects that are facing difficulties.

In which, Mr. Duoc committed that the City will make efforts to promptly resolve the difficulties of enterprises, and committed that 100% of the difficulties under the authority of the City in the group of 571 projects will be resolved by the City. As for the group of projects under the authority of the Central Government, in the immediate future, it will strive to resolve 50% of the projects with difficulties.

"Improving the business environment not only helps businesses overcome immediate difficulties but also creates a solid foundation for the long-term development of Ho Chi Minh City, continuing to maintain its position as the economic locomotive of the country," said Mr. Duoc.
