CKU LINH - a claypot rice restaurant located in a prime location in District 1 (HCMC) - is receiving a series of 1-star reviews from many customers, along with heavy criticism about the quality of the food, service, and price.

The matter became more serious after Quang Linh Vlogs was involved in a scandal of false advertising about Kera vegetable candy.

Although Quang Linh recently officially withdrew from this restaurant, the 1-star "storm" still hasn't cooled down.

A flood of 1-star reviews and heavy criticism

Customer Lien commented: "Does Quang Linh's team get any training? Why is their attitude towards customers so bad? Do you think you're working for a celebrity so we can eat however we want, or if we're not there, are there other people who are "herded" in to eat?

Not to mention the food, but the attitude and waiting are very important. No one wants to eat in anger."

"This is claypot rice, everyone. Seeing famous people in trouble, I don't care because I want to support their good deeds in the past.

When I went in, I felt like I was cheated. The food was really not delicious. Some were salty, some were bland like water. I give up on the chef," an account named Hoa left 1 star.

At the same time, someone also commented: "Admittedly, the food is expensive and bad, when asking about the dish, the staff had the opposite attitude.

My eyes widened in disbelief, because I thought only famous people would come to support the restaurant. What a terrible experience."

Many others commented "the food is already expensive and there's still a bit left", "shocked" when looking at the bill, "gold-plated rice pot", lost on the sidewalk...

Restaurant calls for help, "more than 100 innocent employees are being hurt"

In response to the strong reactions from many people, CKU LINH restaurant also spoke up on its Facebook page, saying that in recent days it had "unexpectedly become the target of attacks", a story that they "had absolutely nothing to do with, but still had to suffer a lot of damage".

"Every day, the restaurant opens its doors to welcome guests with all its hospitality, serves with all its heart and brings the most complete meals. However, instead of being recognized, we become victims of harsh words, late cancellations, and baseless negative comments," the restaurant shared.

There were even attacks aimed at the personal page of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang, major shareholder and co-founder of the CKU LINH claypot rice restaurant.

"But the most heartbreaking thing is not the false rumors, but the more than 100 innocent restaurant employees who are being hurt.

They are honest workers, dedicated people who work every day to bring the best experience to diners.

But now they are facing heavy mental pressure, unfair criticism, and malicious reviews that do not reflect the value they have worked so hard to build," said the claypot rice restaurant.

Faced with a wave of negative feedback, the restaurant decided to disable the review feature. At the same time, it pleaded: "Please look at the matter objectively. Don't let misunderstandings on social networks become a knife that hurts innocent people."

Quang Linh Vlogs no longer holds shares in CKU LINH claypot rice

In mid-March 2025, Quang Linh Vlogs officially announced the transfer of shares at the CKU LINH claypot rice restaurant to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang, with the desire to bring a more sustainable direction and value to the restaurant in the future.

"Despite the change in shares, the spirit, quality of food and service that CKU LINH claypot rice has built will still be maintained and further developed.

We are committed to continuing to serve you with dedication, preserving traditional flavors and constantly improving the culinary experience," said the restaurant.

This claypot rice restaurant belongs to Tan Khanh Cuisine Joint Stock Company. This is a company with Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang as chairwoman of the board of directors and legal representative.

At the time of establishment, Tan Khanh Cuisine had three major shareholders, of which Ms. Hang held 51% of the capital, contributing 1.53 billion VND, Mr. Quang Linh Vlogs held 25%, contributing 720 million VND. The remaining part belonged to Ms. Pham Thi Nhat Le.
