Launching a book in response to the movement of 'popular digital literacy'

On the afternoon of March 26, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh launched the movement and launched the "Digital Education for All" platform, affirming that this is a movement of great significance to the country's development, demonstrating the determination of the Party and State in the development of a digital nation, digital government, digital economy, digital society, digital citizens, and rapid, comprehensive and sustainable development.

On this occasion, the National Political Publishing House Truth launched the book "Basic contents of digital transformation: Questions and answers" in response to the movement "Digital popular education."

The book is compiled in a concise question-and-answer format, providing cadres, party members and people with the most basic and essential knowledge about digital transformation; thereby contributing to raising people's awareness of the importance of digital transformation.

The book consists of 3 parts. Part 1 is “General Secretary To Lam’s guiding opinions on digital transformation.”

Part two “Basic contents of digital transformation” answers questions such as: What is digital transformation?, How does cloud computing technology create an environment for digital transformation?, Why is artificial intelligence technology said to be the “brain” in digital transformation, Why are information security and safety issues of paramount importance in digital transformation…

The third part “Digital transformation in Vietnam” answers questions such as: Vietnam's perspective on the digital transformation process, How is the “people-centered” perspective of the National Digital Transformation Program understood?, In the digital transformation in Vietnam in the coming time, which digital platforms need to be focused on developing?, What are the three pillars of the national digital transformation process?, How is the coordination mechanism for the implementation of the National Digital Transformation Program determined?…

According to the publisher, the contemporary world is in a period of strong development of the digital age. To develop rapidly and avoid falling behind, countries must carry out digital transformation; this is an objective necessity./.

In recent years, the Party and State have paid special attention to, directed, and issued many policies and orientations to promote digital transformation.

On November 18, 2024, General Secretary To Lam directed and launched the "Digital Literacy for All" movement with a focus on disseminating basic knowledge about digital transformation to all classes of people, with the expectation of becoming a breakthrough in raising awareness and digital skills, especially for those in remote areas or those who do not have access to technology.

Resolution No. 57-NQ/TU dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation puts forward the viewpoint: “Developing science, technology, innovation and digital transformation is a decisive factor in the development of countries; is a prerequisite and the best opportunity for our country to develop richly and powerfully in the new era - the era of national development.”
