According to the Ministry of Health, of the 6 inspection teams, 4 teams conducted inspections and supervisions in provinces and cities in the Northern, Central, Southern and Central Highlands regions; 2 teams conducted surprise inspections and supervisions in provinces and cities in the Northern - Central Highlands regions and provinces and cities in the Central - Southern regions.
The inspection and supervision team is responsible for inspecting, supervising, guiding and directing the work of disease prevention and control and implementing the measles vaccination campaign in provinces and cities with high numbers of suspected measles rash fever cases or slow implementation of the measles vaccination campaign in 2025.
Inspection teams proactively coordinate with localities to resolve difficulties and problems within their authority and report to the Ministry of Health if they exceed their authority.
In 2025, the Ministry of Health will continue to propose to the World Health Organization to support vaccines and issue a plan to implement the vaccination campaign, including adding the target group from 6-9 months old in 24 provinces and cities and continuing to add 17 more provinces and cities to vaccinate the campaign for the group from 1-10 years old and high-risk groups.
To date, 24 localities for the 2025 vaccination campaign have issued plans and started implementation from February 2025. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have completed the implementation, and many localities have started implementation.
The Ministry of Health recommends that the People's Committees of provinces and cities regularly assess the development of the measles epidemic, especially in areas with low measles vaccination rates, to organize vaccination campaigns according to the Ministry of Health's instructions, to prevent future outbreaks.
