Attending the Festival were comrades: Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Thanh Lam, General Director of Vietnam Television, Chairman of the 42nd National Television Festival.
On the side of Binh Dinh province, there were comrades: Ho Quoc Dung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Kim Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Also attending the Festival were Mr. Phosy Keomanivong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Laos; Ms. Simmanny Keokene, General Director of Lao National Television; representatives of leaders and former leaders of central and local agencies; members of the Organizing Committee, the Jury and more than 1,000 journalists from television units across the country.
According to the Organizing Committee, the 42nd National Television Festival has 734 entries from 100 units. This festival will judge and award prizes for 11 categories including: Children's Programs, Documentaries, Reports, Short Reports, Science and Education Programs, Dialogue - Discussion Programs, Ethnic Minority Language Television Programs, Music and Dance Programs, Theater, Television Feature Films and Videos on Digital Platforms.
Journalist Nguyen Thanh Lam, General Director of Vietnam Television, Chairman of the 42nd National Television Festival, said that in addition to selecting and honoring the best television works of the past two years, the highlight of this festival is that the specialized events all aim at the goal of "digital transformation - content innovation - multi-platform development". This can be considered a guideline for the Vietnamese television press system in the digital age and the era of the country's rise.
Seminars on “Skills of television journalists in the digital environment”, “Application of technology in digital transformation at television stations”, introduction of VTV Ratings measurement system… will create a forum for practical exchange, learning and career development, opening up opportunities for colleagues to share initiatives, experiences and breakthrough solutions for the industry.
Within the framework of the festival, the exhibition of images of the national television industry with the theme "Television workers" is also expected to attract the public.
