On March 19, PickZone court cluster, 396 Nguyen Xien, Ministry of Public Security Sports Center, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi, Vietnamese sports brand Kamito held the event Reset To Shine - Announcing Kamito Brand Ambassador - Athlete Ly Hoang Nam and launching the Kamito Alpha Pickleball racket in Hanoi.
Previously, Ly Hoang Nam was the most successful tennis player in the history of Vietnamese tennis with impressive achievements. One of his memorable milestones was a series of 24 consecutive wins in mid-2022, winning 3 consecutive professional tournaments to have a strong rise in the world tennis rankings. On November 28, 2022, Ly Hoang Nam achieved the best ranking in his career at 231st in the world.
From a tennis star, Ly Hoang Nam quickly adapted and affirmed his talent in the sport that combines tennis, badminton and table tennis, making fans admire him.
In October 2024, participating in the PPA Tour Australia - Vietnam Open 2024 pickleball tournament in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Ly Hoang Nam revealed that it was the time he started to get acquainted with pickleball to experience and gain more feeling in this sport. Gradually, after that, the 1997-born player affirmed his class in national pickleball tournaments. In just 6 months of trying this sport, he made his mark with 7 championships.
Ly Hoang Nam's switch to pickleball is not only a personal turning point but also contributes to promoting the development of this sport in Vietnam. At the age of 28, Ly Hoang Nam shows that he is still at the peak of his performance and ready to conquer new challenges. His impressive achievements in the past 6 months are a solid stepping stone for him to move towards larger international tournaments, where pickleball is increasingly asserting its position.
On March 19, 2025, Ly Hoang Nam officially became the brand ambassador for Vietnamese sports brand Kamito. Ly Hoang Nam said that with the pioneering spirit, accepting the challenge of a completely new sport, this not only marks a turning point in his career but also resonates with the "Alpha" spirit - a new beginning, conquering new limits and recreating the glory as he did in tennis. Kamito Alpha is his companion on this journey, giving him confidence and asserting his mettle on the professional court.
At this event, Kamito launched a racket inspired by the first letter "Alpha" in the Greek alphabet, Kamito Alpha, carrying the message "Rebirth of courage - Awakening of the aura", affirming the pioneering spirit and desire to break through in the sport of pickleball.
