Training on establishment, management and operation of Project VIE085

(HBĐT) - From August 9 to 13, the Provincial Association of the Elderly (NCT) in collaboration with the International Organization for Supporting the Elderly in Vietnam organized an initial training course on the establishment, management and operation of the Project "Supporting disadvantaged elderly people through expanding Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs (CLB LTHGN) in Vietnam" - Phase 2 (VIE085).

Overview of the training session.

Following the success of Project VIE070 in establishing and replicating the model of LTHTGN Clubs in the province, Project VIE085 is funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), HelpAge International in Korea (HAK), HelpAge International in Vietnam (HAI) and will be implemented in Hoa Binh province for 3 years (from July 2023 to November 2025). From there, 27 more LTHTGN Clubs will be replicated, bringing direct benefits to nearly 1,500 elderly people and people in difficult circumstances.

At the training course, officials of the Association of the Elderly at all levels, members of the Executive Board of the LTHTGN Clubs were trained on the following contents: General issues, population aging, awareness of the elderly, introduction of the LTHTGN Club model, expected assignment of the Executive Board, how to work with the elderly and the Club's regulations; how to organize activities and attract the participation of members, communication activities to raise awareness, knowledge of home care and self-help activities, community support; activities to increase income and health care; activities of rights and benefits, resource mobilization for the Club and model Club activities; management forms, record keeping, assignment of tasks in the Club's Executive Board and Club's activity plan...

Through Project VIE085, we contribute to improving the lives of the elderly, especially increasing income, improving health and participation of the elderly through the LTHTGN Club. At the same time, we call for and mobilize resources to continue establishing and expanding the activities of the LTHTGN Clubs.
