Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Hanoi Student Association Nguyen Tien Hung said that the fifth city-level "5 Good Students Festival" is an important event for union members, association members and students in the capital to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2024) and the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
With the desire to create an environment for students to strive and practice to achieve the title of "5 Good Students", in the 2023 - 2024 school year, the City Youth Union - Hanoi Student Association organized the fifth "5 Good Students Festival" with many attractive and useful activities, meeting the needs, aspirations and interests of students such as: Capital Healthy Students Festival; activities to support and connect "5 Good Students" after the commendation; international student exchange; blood donation festival; contest "Learning knowledge of Marxist-Leninist sciences and Ho Chi Minh's thought"; workshop "Guiding students to conduct scientific research and publish international articles" ...
"Through the activities of the festival, the Organizing Committee believes that the 5th City-level 5-Good Students Festival in 2024 will be an attractive and exciting playground, creating a training environment and supporting members and students in the capital in the process of striving to achieve the title of 5-Good Students at all levels, bringing the "5-Good Students" movement deeper and deeper, associated with the learning and training life of the capital's youth and students" - Chairman of the Hanoi Student Association Nguyen Tien Hung emphasized.
At the same time, the festival is also a forum and opportunity for students in the capital in general and "5 Good Students" at all levels in particular to exchange and share experiences in studying, contributing to improving the practicality and effectiveness of youth and student activities.
The program attracted the enthusiastic and active participation of more than 5,000 members and students from 58 Youth Union branches and 41 Association branches under the City Youth Union - Hanoi Student Association. In particular, the Festival welcomed the participation and support of 18 recruiting enterprises, creating job opportunities for students and "5 Good Students" after the commendation.
At the opening ceremony, the "Solid Future" scholarship was awarded to 40 students with difficult circumstances who have excelled in their studies.
At the same time, the City Youth Union - Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi signed a memorandum of understanding with partners MASTERTRAN Joint Stock Company and HR COMPANION Social Enterprise Joint Stock Company, coordinating support contents, accompanying students in volunteer work, studying, establishing a career, etc.
In addition, in order to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation among students in the capital, at the opening ceremony, the Hanoi City Youth Union - Vietnam Student Association launched a series of entrepreneurship and innovation activities among students in the capital in 2024.
The "5 Good Students" movement is the main movement of the Student Association at all levels with the goal of building a new generation of Vietnamese students who possess 5 criteria: good ethics, good study, good physical strength, good volunteering and good integration to be ready to prepare for their future career and start-up.
