Speaking at the opening of the Final Round, Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Doan Toan - Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest said that the contest is an important part of a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.
Through the contest, cadres, party members, people from all walks of life nationwide and in the capital, foreigners living, studying and working in Vietnam will learn about the importance and historical significance of the Capital Liberation Day; the glorious tradition of revolutionary struggle and the great contributions of the Party Committee, armed forces and people of Hanoi in the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland. Through the contest, we will learn about the thousand-year tradition of Thang Long - Hanoi, the achievements of the capital over 70 years of construction and development; achievements after nearly 40 years of implementing the cause of innovation in various fields...
The Organizing Committee of the contest is pleased to receive the attention and participation of all classes of people in the contest, from cadres, party members, civil servants, employees, workers, union members, youth, students, armed forces soldiers... In particular, the contest has really spread among the people of the whole country, attracting many contestants from provinces and cities to participate and win high prizes such as: Binh Duong, Thanh Hoa, Soc Trang, Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City...
During the 3 months of the Online Preliminary Round, the units actively promoted the propaganda and dissemination of the contest through visual propaganda and propaganda on social networks; actively encouraged and motivated cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life to continue participating and cheering for the Contest. The press and television agencies of the Central and Hanoi actively propagated; regularly and promptly reflected the implementation, dissemination, and response to the Contest in localities, agencies, and units in the city.
"Since its launch, the contest has become an important political activity, attracting a large number of people from all walks of life in the capital, with diverse contestants and spreading widely among the people of the whole country" - Head of the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee Nguyen Doan Toan emphasized.
The Organizing Committee has fully applied technology and digital transformation in the competitions, in which the competitions are built on software, the way the teams operate and the judges score in the competition are also completely implemented by technology; after each competition, the results and rankings are announced on the LED screen to help the teams, judges and audiences follow along, increasing the appeal of the competition.
The content of the contest's question system was highly appreciated by contestants for its amount of knowledge, diversity in the way questions were asked, providing a lot of useful information about the thousand-year history of civilization and the revolutionary struggle, and the stages of construction and development of the Capital.
In the Final round, 16 excellent candidates from different localities and units, diverse in professions and ages participated in the competition.
The contestants were divided into 4 teams: “Cultural Hanoi”, “Forever Shining Capital”, “I Love Hanoi” and “Heroic Spirit of Thang Long”. The teams competed in 4 parts: “Hanoi People” (in the form of greetings), “Marching to Hanoi” (in the form of multiple choice questions), “Love of Hanoi” (in the form of presentation) and “Hanoi - Faith and Hope” (in the form of eloquence and debate).
With a passionate heart and a love for the thousand-year-old civilized and heroic capital Hanoi, the team "I love Hanoi" excellently won the First Prize; the team "Hao khi Thang Long" won the Second Prize; the team "Thu do thuong vinh" won the Third Prize; the Encouragement Prize belonged to the team "Hanoi van hien".
On this occasion, the Hanoi People's Committee awarded 15 collectives and 20 individuals with achievements in organizing and implementing the contest and 16 contestants participating in the final round of the contest.
