On August 24, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command (abbreviated as the Mausoleum Command) held the 6th Trade Union Congress (2023-2028). Major General Dinh Quoc Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Group 969, Political Commissar of the Mausoleum Command and Colonel Pham Hai Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Group 969, Commander of the Mausoleum Command, Deputy Head of the Mausoleum Management Board attended and directed the Congress.

Attending the Congress were comrades: Huynh Thanh Xuan, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Colonel Nguyen Dinh Duc, member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Head of the National Defense Trade Union; Colonel Tran Viet Nang, Head of the Army Youth Department; Colonel Phung Thi Phu, Head of the Army Women's Department; delegates who are leaders and commanders of coordinating and twinning units inside and outside the Army; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Group 969, commander of the Mausoleum Command; delegates who are commanders of agencies and units in the Mausoleum Command.

The Congress unanimously assessed that over the past 5 years, under the leadership and direction of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Group 969, the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board, the head of the Mausoleum Command; Party committees and commanders at all levels; and guidance from higher-level professional agencies, the workers' movement and trade union activities of the Mausoleum Command have fully completed the goals and targets of the Action Program of the 5th Mausoleum Command Trade Union Congress (2018-2023).
The activities of the trade union have closely followed the situation and tasks of the unit, focusing on innovation in content, form and method; promoting propaganda, political and legal education, revolutionary action movements; taking care of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of trade union members. The trade union organization has been regularly consolidated and improved, the quality of cadres and union members has been improved.

At the Congress, delegates enthusiastically discussed and clarified the results achieved, the remaining difficulties and limitations, pointed out the causes, and drew 5 lessons from the workers' movement and trade union activities of the Mausoleum Command over the past 5 years. They agreed on the direction, goals, tasks, and solutions for trade union activities in the period 2023-2028.
In the coming years, to improve the quality and effectiveness of the workers' movement and trade union activities, in his speech directing the Congress, Major General Dinh Quoc Hung requested: Party committees, leaders, commanders, and political agencies at all levels continue to pay attention to leading, directing, guiding, and creating all favorable conditions for trade union organizations to operate in accordance with their functions and tasks, actively contributing to the excellent completion of the special political tasks of the unit.
