As of now, the EuroCham 2024 Board of Directors consists of 17 members, bringing together business leaders from major sectors across Vietnam. This is a combination of continuity and innovation to promote the Association’s policy advocacy for a leading investment environment, bringing benefits to European companies and localities in Vietnam.
EuroCham is setting its agenda for 2024, focusing on strengthening policy advocacy and expanding environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives.
It is expected that in 2024, the unit will hold around 90 meetings with Vietnamese authorities and send 200 letters based on the details from the annual White Paper. EuroCham is proactively enhancing its advocacy efforts in 2024.
This includes expanding the Association’s presence in Vietnam’s provinces and cities to increase member engagement and identify new business opportunities. A key part of this strategy is the expansion of the Association in Central Vietnam, headquartered in Da Nang, to be relaunched in 2023. This will strengthen the support network and service delivery to members in this key region.
In addition to advocacy, EuroCham is focusing on ESG principles and sustainability. This includes key initiatives designed to raise awareness and understanding of key EU regulations, such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). A dedicated EuroCham working group will lead these initiatives, foster collaboration between business associations and lead capacity building efforts for both EuroCham members and Vietnamese companies.
In 2024, a highlight of EuroCham’s sustainability commitment will be the organisation of the Green Economy Forum and Exhibition (GEFE) 2024, taking place from 21 to 23 October in Ho Chi Minh City. This flagship event will bring together business leaders, policymakers, experts and innovators from across Vietnam, Europe and Southeast Asia for dozens of conference sessions, an exhibition showcasing cutting-edge sustainable solutions and a high-level plenary with leading Vietnamese and European leaders.
