Officers and soldiers of Division 5 participate in building inter-hamlet roads.
During the time of doing mass mobilization work, the Division's officers and soldiers coordinated to clear, patch, upgrade, and clean over 15km of inter-hamlet and inter-commune roads; dredge and consolidate 5.8km of drainage ditches; clean up 11 schools, cultural houses, and public areas; coordinate to plant 10,000 cajuput trees, 6km of flower roads; support 24 military camps, and help 28 households in difficult circumstances with production.
Coordinate with Party committees, authorities, departments, unions, and other units to organize cultural and artistic activities, sports, community activities, etc. to contribute to promoting and shining the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" and "Heroic soldiers of the 5th Division".
The Division coordinated with sister units to visit and present 100 gifts to policy families and people in difficult circumstances in the area to do mass mobilization work; examined and provided free medicine and gifts to 200 households (worth 50,000,000 VND) in Cau Khoi commune, Duong Minh Chau district.
Coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee Office to visit and present 10 gifts to policy families in Ward 2, Tay Ninh City and Hoa Thanh Commune, Chau Thanh District, the province, each gift including 1,000,000 VND and production products of the Division. Organized the handover to 6 "Houses of Military - People Gratitude" phase I.2023 on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, supported by Tay Nam Company and Dong Hai Company.
Mr. Pham Hung Thai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation presented gifts to Division 5 at the launching ceremony of the first phase of mass mobilization work in 2023.
On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the Division Commander presented 9 gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, People's Armed Forces Heroes, and seriously wounded soldiers in the Division's belt area, worth 9,000,000 VND; presented gifts to policy beneficiaries in the Division (war invalids, war invalids' children, martyrs' relatives, officers and soldiers with serious illnesses, long-term illnesses, and especially difficult circumstances; orphans due to the Covid-19 pandemic): 92 gifts, worth 51,000,000 VND; visited and presented gifts worth 10,000,000 VND in the "Outstanding War Invalids and Martyrs' Families" exchange program organized by the Division's Traditional Liaison Committee in Ho Chi Minh City.
Organized for nearly 1,000 officers and soldiers to participate in cleaning, visiting martyrs' cemeteries, memorials in the stationed area and doing mass mobilization work, participating in "Lighting candles in gratitude" programs, participating in the delegation to visit and present 34 gifts, totaling 42,000,000 VND to the Division's units doing mass mobilization work in the first phase of 2023.
People and benefactors donated nearly 500kg of meat of all kinds; 1,800kg of vegetables, tubers, and fruits; more than 700kg of fruits; 450kg of rice; soft drinks, mineral water, and candies; and organized 9 sessions of making banh xeo and banh tet to support officers and soldiers participating in mass mobilization work.
The unit has formed a sister unit with the Division to support and coordinate in participating in social policy activities with a total value of 80,000,000 VND. At the end of the mass mobilization work, the commune-level localities: Thanh Phuoc (Go Dau), Hao Duoc (Chau Thanh) awarded 7 collectives and 17 individuals from the units of Division 5.
