Ha Tinh will review establishments that retail medicinal herbs, herbal medicines, and traditional medicines without a license to guide and support establishments to properly implement regulations.
Through survey and understanding the situation, currently in the province there are still many establishments operating in retail business of medicinal herbs, herbal medicines, traditional medicines that have not been assessed by the Department of Health and granted a certificate of eligibility for pharmaceutical business according to the provisions of law.

Faced with this situation, the Department of Health has just issued Document 2247/SYT-NVY dated June 21, requesting the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to review establishments engaged in retail business of medicinal herbs, herbal medicines and traditional medicines in the management area that have not been licensed by the Department of Health to propagate, guide and support establishments to properly implement the provisions of law.
In particular, for business establishments that have met the conditions for licensing such as: having technical facilities and personnel that meet the business conditions as prescribed in Article 31 of Decree No. 54/2016/ND-CP dated May 8, 2017 and Article 5 of Decree No. 155/2018/ND-CP dated November 12, 2018 of the Government, they must promptly complete administrative procedures to be assessed by the Department of Health and granted a certificate of eligibility for pharmaceutical business.
Reviewing establishments that have retail medicinal herbs business activities so that authorities can guide and support establishments to comply with regulations.
For business establishments that do not meet the prescribed conditions, they must stop business operations to complete the conditions and procedures to submit to the Department of Health for appraisal and issuance of a certificate of eligibility for pharmaceutical business before they can continue business operations.
The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities direct the strengthening of inspection and examination of retail business activities of medicinal herbs, herbal medicines and traditional medicines in the area, strictly handling violators, especially those businesses that have not been assessed and granted a certificate of eligibility for pharmaceutical business by the Department of Health.
