The "Italian civil war" in the Europa League final this season did not come true when only AS Roma won the ticket to continue, while Juventus was eliminated.

Sevilla had a dramatic 2-1 victory over Juventus after 120 minutes in the second leg of the semi-final to win the right to continue.
Erik Lamela became the hero when he left his mark on both goals to help Sevilla successfully reverse the score.
Lamela tried to dribble the ball to create a chance for Suso to equalize 1-1 in the 71st minute (Vlahovic opened the score in the 65th minute for Juventus), forcing the opponent to enter extra time with a 2-2 draw after two matches.
Right at the beginning of extra time, the Argentine star directly put his name on the scoreboard with a header to set the score at 2-1 for Sevilla in the second leg, thereby winning a ticket to the Europa League final with a final result of 3-2.
Sevilla's opponent in the final match will be AS Roma, the team led by coach Jose Mourinho.
AS Roma made Bayer Leverkusen "powerless" for 90 minutes at home at BayArena, to successfully defend the 1-0 result they had in the first leg a week ago.
This result helps AS Roma reach the final of this tournament for the second time in history after doing the same in 1991 (losing to Inter Milan in the final).
The 2022-23 Europa League final between AS Roma and Sevilla will take place in Budapest on May 31.
Sevilla currently holds the tournament record with 6 championships, which is not an easy challenge for coach Mourinho and his team.
