Reporting on the campaign results, Colonel Le Huy, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Coast Guard, said that this was the first time the event was held, and was one of the key activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Vietnam Coast Guard's Traditional Day (August 28, 1998/August 28, 2023).

The campaign's standing agency and the Party committees and commanders of the units have proactively coordinated closely with the art units in the army, the Literature and Art Associations in the Central Government, Hanoi City and 28 coastal provinces and cities to implement and spread widely within the force as well as across the country.

In particular, 68 artists were organized to participate in 3 field trips to units and directly join officers and soldiers of ships to carry out tasks in sea areas such as: Joint patrol in the waters adjacent to the demarcation line of the Gulf of Tonkin between the Vietnam Coast Guard and the China Coast Guard; participating in patrols and inspections to carry out tasks against IUU fishing in the central sea area and a number of other practical activities...

Special performance at the closing and award ceremony.

The campaign, which was launched from April to June 2023, has achieved encouraging results. The Organizing Committee received 194 works (99 literary works, 95 musical works) from 150 authors working in and outside the military. Among them, the two oldest authors are Mr. Le Gia Hieu, a member of the Vietnam Musicians Association, and Mr. Pham The Ha in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province (both are 81 years old).

In particular, author Dang Ngoc Duy of the Vietnamese Sunflower Center, Quang Nam province, who is visually impaired but loves and admires the officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Coast Guard, wrote the musical work "The person standing at the head of the waves" with all his heart. The works closely follow the theme of the composition, vividly depicting the life and the beautiful image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Coast Guard soldiers" in performing the task of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands; fighting against crimes and law violations.

With the content invested with passion and elaborate intelligence, the works have added motivation and will to the officers and soldiers to be more determined to complete the assigned tasks; at the same time, they have high educational significance, and can be widely propagated to the soldiers and people of the whole country. That is also the deep affection of the authors for the sea and islands of the Fatherland, for the soldiers of the Vietnam Coast Guard.

Lieutenant General Bui Quoc Oai, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Coast Guard, delivered a speech at the closing and award ceremony.

Speaking at the closing and award ceremony, Lieutenant General Bui Quoc Oai emphasized that the campaign is an important cultural event for the entire force. The songs, poems, stories, novels, etc. composed by artists on this occasion have contributed significantly to improving the spiritual life of the troops.

Lieutenant General Bui Quoc Oai expressed his hope that artists inside and outside the military, with their passion for art; love for the sea and islands of the Fatherland; and attachment to officers and soldiers of the Coast Guard, will continue to innovate and create, creating valuable works of art, deeply reflecting the image of Coast Guard soldiers in the new era in the hearts of the people and international friends.

To promote the effectiveness of the campaign in the coming time, the Political Commissar of the Coast Guard requested that Party committees and commanders at all levels continue to thoroughly grasp the resolutions and directives of the Party Committee of the Coast Guard Command on "Leading cultural, literary and artistic work in the Coast Guard force in the current period", creating a strong change in the awareness of officers and soldiers. Effectively spreading and propagating the works to the people and international friends. At the same time, the works will be used to serve the spiritual life of soldiers in the entire force in order to continuously create a healthy military cultural environment, fostering the qualities, ethics and personality of Coast Guard officers and soldiers.

After two rounds of evaluation and scoring, the Art Council unanimously selected 28 works of good and excellent quality, including 14 works of literature and 14 works of music. Based on the selection results of the Art Council, the Organizing Committee of the Campaign awarded: 2 works of A prize, 3 works of B prize, 4 works of C prize, 5 works of encouragement prize for music; 2 works of A prize, 3 works of B prize, 4 works of C prize, 5 works of encouragement prize for literature.
