According to Marca , Real Madrid are closely following Huijsen's moves and are ready to make a blockbuster transfer in the next transfer window.
The La Liga giants are facing many problems in defense, when pillars such as Eder Militao and David Alaba are injured. This makes Real Madrid seriously look for additions to thicken the squad and prepare for the future.
However, not only "Los Blancos", Man Utd also craves to own the 2005-born central defender. British media said MU is considering activating the Spanish player's £55 million release clause.
Dean Huijsen is being sought after by many big clubs. |
In the summer transfer market of 2024, Real suffered defeat against MU, when the Old Trafford team "snatched" young star Leny Yoro. Real had reached a personal agreement with the French player, but MU paid a larger sum and immediately convinced Lille, Yoro's home club.
The 19-year-old Spanish centre-back joined Bournemouth from Juventus last summer for £12.6m and has impressed in his first season in England, making 18 Premier League appearances as Bournemouth conceded just 28 goals - fewer than Manchester United and just behind the top three, Liverpool, Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.
Huijsen made an impressive debut in Spain's 2-2 draw with the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday, replacing Pau Curbasi after the latter picked up an injury.
As for Hujsen, he expressed his pride when he learned that Real Madrid were interested in him: "I know that information but I won't think too much about it. I'm looking forward to finishing the season well with Bournemouth. After that, I'll think about the future."
"Playing for the national team is like a dream. I have always dreamed of playing at the highest level. It is great that my family is here to witness this important milestone," the 1.95m-tall center-back added.
