"U22 Korea and Uzbekistan are very strong, with good physical strength and technique. However, my players showed confidence and followed the tactics," coach Dinh Hong Vinh said after the 0-0 draw against Uzbekistan on the evening of March 23.
"In the match against Uzbekistan, the adjustments in defense helped us keep a clean sheet. However, there are still some points to improve, especially in taking advantage of opportunities. The last two matches were very useful, helping the players gain experience when facing top opponents in Asia," added the head coach of the U22 Vietnam team.
After two draws, U22 Vietnam will play host China at 6:35 p.m. on March 25. Coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team even have a chance to win the tournament if they defeat China.
"China is a well-organized team, plays disciplined and knows how to take advantage of opportunities. They drew 0-0 with U22 Uzbekistan and won 1-0 against U22 Korea. The coaching staff will carefully analyze the home team's playing style to best prepare for the final match. This will certainly be an important match, not only in terms of the result but also to help us more accurately assess the players' abilities in high-pressure situations," coach Dinh Hong Vinh shared.
