Leading US technology company Entrupy has announced a groundbreaking AI application to identify counterfeit luxury goods, which allows scanning luxury brand accessories with a high-resolution microscope lens.
Counterfeiting technology is becoming more and more sophisticated and counterfeit products are also extremely sophisticated. |
The lens plays a particularly important role in multi-dimensional scanning technology, including details such as product curves, logos, leather textures as well as serial numbers.
This data is then analyzed and compared to an extensive database trained by a neural network, which identifies and associates features with specific factories or product batches. Within minutes, Entrupy’s AI application can determine whether a product is genuine or counterfeit.
Currently available only to luxury retailers, Entrupy claims its AI tool can authenticate products from brands like Chanel, Balenciaga, Gucci, Burberry, and Louis Vuitton with up to 99.1% accuracy. For sneakers, it can “check authenticity” from brands like Nike and Adidas.
Certificates are issued by Entrupy to retailers after verifying the product is genuine. |
Additionally, Entrupy's AI application also provides an official certificate that retailers can display if the product is verified as authentic.
