In recent days, the trend of “turning every roof into a national flag” has been boiling all over the country. Many people in the Land of the Ancestors, with the desire to spread their love for their homeland and country, have drawn and painted the image of the red flag with a yellow star on their roofs, rolling doors, and painted the map of Vietnam on their walls...
Painting the national flag not only contributes to beautifying the house but also shows and spreads patriotism and national pride to everyone around, especially the young generation.
Responding to the trend of drawing and painting the national flag to celebrate Independence Day, Ms. Le Thi Oanh Kieu - owner of Spa Calla on Quang Trung Street, Viet Tri City drew a map of Vietnam on the wall of the store and recorded a video clip to share on Facebook. Those beautiful images were spread by Ms. Kieu, attracting thousands of views and many shares and positive comments.
On the occasion of National Day September 2 this year, the trend of folding blood donation certificates into a red flag with a yellow star was also supported by many young people. Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh (1983), a lecturer at the Provincial Political School, folded 45 of his blood and platelet donation certificates into the national flag.
While casually surfing social media, Mr. Viet Anh saw the trend of using blood donation certificates to form the national flag. Also an active participant in the humanitarian blood donation program for the past 10 years, he carefully studied the arrangement and used 45 of his blood donation certificates to form the national flag.
On average, he donates blood and platelets 2-3 times a year. From 2020 to now, there have been years when he donated 8-9 times a year. In 2023, he was one of 100 outstanding voluntary blood donors honored by the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation.
He added that the red color of the National Flag symbolizes the color of revolution, the color of the blood that his fathers and generations have shed. Coincidentally and more meaningfully, this National Flag is made from voluntary blood donation certificates.
Not only Mr. Viet Anh, but many young people in the province responded to the "trend" of folding voluntary blood donation certificates into national flags to show national pride, aiming to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).
In the spirit of National Day, September 2nd, people across the country are expressing their patriotism through interesting and unique “trends” that reflect each person’s creativity. There are simple “trends” that everyone, from the elderly to children, can do.
Just by having a phone or any electronic device in hand, everyone can catch the trend of "The national flag in your eyes". The national flag sparkles in the eyes, as soon as looking at these simple but extremely sacred and meaningful images, immediately in everyone's mind, two verses from the poem "From then on" by poet To Huu resound: "From then on, the summer sun shines in me/ The sun of truth shines through my heart".
Without being fussy or ornate, Vietnamese people are expressing their patriotism and celebrating National Day on September 2 in simple, intimate and extremely sacred ways.
The trend of “young bamboo shoots” taking photos to celebrate National Day has also become very “hot”. The bright smiles, innocent eyes but showing the pride and love for the homeland of the children make adults happy. Taking photos of their children with the theme of celebrating National Day is also a way for parents to both instill patriotism in their children and feel that love more clearly through the frames.
Not only that, even the simplest and most familiar items such as key chains, phone cases, hair clips... are dyed with the colors of the red flag with yellow star and are sold at souvenir shops in the province. Everyone is bustling to celebrate the National Day of the nation.
