Tuan Giao: 51 houses damaged and roofs blown off due to storms and hail

Dien Bien TV - Heavy rain and a tornado that appeared on the evening of March 25 caused the roofs of 51 houses in Chieng Sinh commune, Tuan Giao district to be blown off and seriously damaged.

A storm blew off the corrugated iron roof of a household in Chieng Sinh commune, Tuan Giao district.

Accordingly, at around 5:30 p.m. on March 25, a tornado accompanied by hail lasting about 15 minutes occurred in some localities in Tuan Giao district, causing damage to people's houses and crops.

In Chieng Sinh commune, 51 households suffered damage to their houses, most of which had their roofs completely blown off and were severely damaged. In addition, the tornado and heavy rains broke trees and damaged some solar light poles in the commune. According to preliminary statistics, the total damage caused by the tornado in Chieng Sinh commune was about 300 million VND.

Immediately after receiving the information, local authorities mobilized local forces to support people in overcoming the damage./.
