Vietnamese representative wins first place at BMW Golf Cup

Recently, the Vietnamese representative excellently won the Champion title at the BMW Golf Cup - World Final 2024. This is a historic victory, marking the first time Vietnam has won the world's most prestigious amateur golf tournament exclusively for BMW car owners.

The BMW Golf Cup - World Final 2024 will take place from March 2 to 7 at Alpine Golf Club, one of the most prestigious golf courses in Bangkok, Thailand, with over 250 golfers from 36 countries competing for the top spot.

Vietnam’s representatives, including three golfers Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu, Ta Quang Duong and Trinh Son Tung, have passed the BMW Golf Cup – National Final 2024 Vietnam to qualify for the world finals. After three days of competition, the golfers achieved a total score of 302, surpassing China (297 points) and Japan (291 points), to win the National Team Category for the first time.

Not only winning the overall championship, Vietnamese golfers also made a strong impression with their outstanding individual achievements: golfer Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu (HCP 14) won the women's championship with 100 points (31-37-32); golfer Ta Quang Duong (HCP 6) won 3rd place in Men Category 1 with a total score of 101 (38-32-31); golfer Trinh Son Tung (HCP 12) ranked 5th in Men Category 2 with 101 points (33-37-31). The good coordination, stable performance and determined fighting spirit of all three golfers contributed significantly to the proud victory for Vietnam at the BMW Golf Cup - World Final 2024.

This year's tournament welcomes two guests of honor: Colin Montgomerie (Monty) - a golf legend with 31 European Tour titles, 8 Order of Merit winners and 6 Ryder Cup winners; and Fanny Sunesson - the only female caddie in the Caddy Hall of Fame, currently a professional golf instructor and BMW Golf Ambassador.
