The National Assembly adjusted the program of the 7th Session, adding content on personnel work.

At the beginning of the working session on the morning of June 25, the National Assembly voted to approve the adjustment of the Program of the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly, adding a number of contents for consideration and decision within its authority, including personnel work.

Specifically, from 11:00 a.m. on the same day, the National Assembly met separately to listen to the National Assembly Standing Committee present the list of nominees for the National Assembly to elect members of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee and to present to the National Assembly the matter of ceasing to perform the duties of deputies to the 15th National Assembly. After that, the National Assembly discussed these two contents in the Delegation. At the beginning of the afternoon session, the Secretary General of the National Assembly presented a report summarizing the opinions discussed by the National Assembly Delegation on the list of nominees for the National Assembly to elect members of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee and the matter of ceasing to perform the duties of deputies to the 15th National Assembly. The National Assembly Standing Committee reported on the explanation and acceptance of the opinions discussed by the National Assembly deputies in the Delegation. The National Assembly then discussed and voted to approve the list to elect members of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee; established a Ballot Counting Committee and elected members of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee and ceasing to perform the duties of deputies to the 15th National Assembly by secret ballot. After the vote counting results, the National Assembly discussed and voted to pass the Resolution on the election of members of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly and the Resolution on the dismissal of deputies to the 15th National Assembly by electronic voting. In addition to personnel work, the National Assembly agreed to add a number of other contents to the meeting agenda, including: discussing the contents of salary reform; adjusting pensions, social insurance benefits, preferential benefits for people with meritorious services and social benefits from July 1, 2024; and a plan to extend debt repayment for refinancing loans under Resolution No. 135/2020/QH14 dated November 17, 2020 of the National Assembly. The National Assembly will also listen to reports, verification reports and discuss a number of contents related to the use of increased central budget revenue in 2023.
