Vietnam - China Relations: More favorable trade, expanding exports

DNVN - Answering the press after the State visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son said that cooperation between Vietnam and China will achieve new progress, facilitating trade and expanding the export of Vietnamese agricultural and aquatic products to the Chinese market.

Answering the question about the direction to promote cooperation between Vietnam and China in the coming time after the State visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized that the visit is a particularly important foreign activity and was successful in all aspects.

The visit significantly contributes to the building of the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future, contributing to peace, stability and development of the region and the world.

General Secretary and President To Lam had a very rich and meaningful program of activities with 18 activities within the framework of the visit. The two sides issued a Joint Statement on further strengthening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, deepening the building of a community of shared future between Vietnam and China.

Ministries, sectors and localities of the two countries have signed many cooperation documents in the fields of testing - quarantine, customs, health, communications, local cooperation and people's livelihood.

Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that Vietnam and China continue to concretize high-level common perceptions and signed agreements, bringing substantive cooperation to new progress.

During the discussions, the two sides reached broad consensus on further strengthening the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership. The focus was on concretizing the common perceptions and agreements between the two sides.

Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that, closely following the spirit of the joint statement and the common perceptions of high-level leaders reached during this visit, in the coming time, the two sides will focus on promoting cooperation in all aspects.

Notably, in the economic field, the two sides continued to implement the high-level common perceptions and signed agreements, bringing substantive cooperation to new progress.

Specifically, facilitating trade, expanding the export of Vietnamese agricultural and aquatic products to the Chinese market. Promoting the connection of development strategies between the two countries, effectively implementing the cooperation plan connecting the framework of "Two Corridors, One Belt" with the "Belt and Road" initiative.

At the same time, accelerate the promotion of "hard connections" between the two countries in terms of high-speed railways, highways, border gate infrastructure, and upgrade "soft connections" in terms of smart customs and smart border gates.

The two sides encourage and support enterprises with strength, reputation and advanced technology to invest in the other country, focusing on strengthening cooperation in the fields of agriculture and infrastructure; expanding cooperation in new fields such as: digital economy, circular economy, green development, clean energy, renewable energy.
