Dien Bien TV - Ao Dai Week - an event launched by the Vietnam Women's Union has become a meaningful activity to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8th nationwide every year. This year's Ao Dai Week in Dien Bien province continues to attract the participation of women, contributing to the radiant beauty of the traditional dress.
The Ao Dai contributes to honoring the beauty of cadres and civil servants in the office space. |
The working week of the Social Insurance Agency of Dien Bien province was much more special than the previous weeks, due to the appearance of female officers wearing traditional Ao Dai. The characteristic blue color of the Social Insurance Industry combined with the simple yet graceful lines of the Ao Dai contributed to honoring the beauty of the unit's officers and civil servants in the office space. This is also a practical activity that the unit's Women's Union responded to participate in this year's "Ao Dai Week".
Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Nga, Social Insurance of Dien Bien province, said: “Ao dai is a traditional cultural symbol of the Vietnamese people, expressing the gentle and elegant beauty of Vietnamese women. With that spirit, the provincial Social Insurance grassroots union always promotes to female union members to preserve traditional cultural beauty and also wants to spread that spirit to all civil servants and public employees in the province”.
“Ao Dai Week” does not only stop at agencies and offices but also spreads throughout residential areas, so that every woman, regardless of her job, can confidently wear the graceful Ao Dai, honoring the traditional beauty of the Vietnamese people. Although they do not often wear Ao Dai in daily life, many women still respond to the Week with meaningful activities.
Ms. Do Thi Binh, Hoang Yen village, Thanh Yen commune, Dien Bien district, said: “Responding to the Ao Dai Week launched by the Provincial Women's Union, each of us bought an Ao Dai. We were very happy to wear the Ao Dai and go out to experience the beautiful scenery of Dien Bien province, which is gradually changing..”
Wearing the Ao Dai not only makes women more elegant and graceful, but also contributes to honoring the unique traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese people. |
Ao dai has long been a traditional costume and also a unique cultural feature of the Vietnamese people. Nowadays, although Ao dai has been innovated to suit the work and practical needs of each individual, it still retains its inherent traditional features. Wearing Ao dai not only makes women more elegant and charming, but also contributes to honoring the unique traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese people.
Ms. Tran Thanh Huyen, Dien Bien Province Radio and Television Station, shared: “ Ao dai is one of the costumes that I love and I often wear it. Every time a Vietnamese woman puts on an ao dai, I feel that it enhances her elegant and sophisticated beauty. Every time I see an ao dai, I feel proud of the cultural traditions of the Vietnamese people.”
During this year's "Ao Dai Week", the program "Giving Ao Dai, Sending Love, Preserving Traditional Beauty" for female union members and workers in difficult circumstances working in remote areas and border areas was carried out by trade union organizations throughout the province. This is the love that women give to each other, to continue the mission of spreading and preserving the value of the Vietnamese Ao Dai for future generations.
