In anticipation of the upcoming peak tourist season, tourism and accommodation service businesses and community tourism destinations in Quang Tri province are actively investing in refurbishing, upgrading facilities and renewing tourism products to best serve the needs of tourists.

A Lao Stream in Ta Lao Village, Ta Long Commune, Dakrong District, is an ideal community ecotourism destination that has attracted a large number of tourists to bathe and experience in the summer and on recent holidays. Head of the A Lao Stream Community Tourism Cooperative Group Ho Thi Ngam said that in anticipation of this year's tourist season, the cooperative group has proactively invested over 100 million VND to renovate the destination, build 8 solid bamboo huts, decorate monkey bridges, swing hammocks, check-in points and post service price lists... to bring visitors the best impressions.

In addition to focusing on upgrading facilities, the A Lao Stream Community Tourism Cooperative Group also actively researches, learns and adds to the menu many special dishes with different prices, and sells some typical products of the Van Kieu and Pa Ko ethnic minorities at the tourist destination so that visitors can conveniently choose and buy them as gifts for relatives and friends when traveling and experiencing at A Lao Stream.

“Currently, we have completed more than 70% of the items and will start welcoming guests at the end of March 2025. In particular, we always focus on ensuring security, order and safety for visitors, while raising the sense of responsibility and service attitude of the members of the cooperative group to build a civilized, friendly and ideal destination in the hearts of visitors and locals,” Ms. Ngam added.

In preparation for this year's peak tourist and festival season, accommodation establishments and travel service businesses are actively introducing and promoting products, services, tours, routes and launching many discount and promotional programs, while committing to not increase prices, listing and publicly and transparently publicizing service prices to attract customers.

Camel Golden Sea Resort is located in Cua Viet Tourist - Service Area, Cua Viet Town, Gio Linh District. This is also an impressive highlight of Camel Golden Sea Resort during this year's peak tourist season."

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province currently has 236 accommodation establishments with 3,481 rooms, over 5,977 beds, including 66 1-4 star hotels and standard hotels, 170 motels, guesthouses, homestays...

Regarding tourism and tour guide activities, the province currently has 10 international travel service businesses and 16 domestic travel service businesses qualified to serve tourists. Tourism revenue has grown quite high, averaging over 7%/year, and the quality of tourism products has been improved over the years.

Many types of tourism have been formed, especially shaping and enhancing the attractiveness of festivals: "Unification of the Country", "Trans-Asia Bridge", "July Gratitude", cultural festival events "For Peace", "Culinary Culture", and at the same time building many new tourism products.

In 2024 alone, Quang Tri welcomed more than 3 million tourists, including 168 thousand international visitors, the highest ever and forecast to increase sharply in the coming time. This is a positive signal when tourism is identified as a key economic sector, focusing on investment, thereby creating a breakthrough to help Quang Tri transform and develop.

In order to promote the initiative and creativity of individuals and tourism businesses, in addition to supporting mechanisms and policies, in recent years, Quang Tri province has actively mobilized capital sources to focus on investing in developing tourism infrastructure; in which, focusing investment resources on developing synchronous, focused and key tourism infrastructure.

In addition to taking advantage of central support, Quang Tri province has mobilized a significant amount of capital through targeted support programs for tourism development combined with local resources to focus on investing in developing tourism infrastructure. Technical infrastructure serving socio-economic development and tourism in the province has received attention for investment and upgrading, many infrastructure projects have been completed and put into use.

On the other hand, the province is currently investing in many new projects from various sources of capital to soon complete the tourism service infrastructure, creating conditions for the development of the province's sea tourism, in which it is taking advantage of investment capital from the ADB Bank under the project "Developing tourism infrastructure to support comprehensive growth in the Greater Mekong Subregion - Phase II" with a total investment of 11.434 million USD.

Overcoming many obstacles and challenges, the tourism industry has successfully completed the assigned plan for 2024, with social revenue reaching VND 2,400 billion (up 31.8% over the same period in 2023), of which specialized revenue was VND 975 billion (up 43.3% over the same period in 2023)... This result is an important driving force for the tourism industry to continue to expect a breakthrough in 2025.
