(Dan Tri) - Mr. Ho Duc Phoc has ceased to hold the position of Minister of Finance, and Mr. Nguyen Van Thang is no longer Minister of Transport, according to the resolution approving the dismissal of the positions just passed by the National Assembly.
On the afternoon of November 28, the National Assembly voted to pass a resolution approving the Prime Minister's proposal to dismiss Mr. Ho Duc Phoc from the position of Minister of Finance and Mr. Nguyen Van Thang from the position of Minister of Transport for the 2021-2026 term.
Mr. Phuc and Mr. Thang were approved for dismissal to hold new positions.
The previous afternoon, under the direction of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the National Assembly listened to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh present a proposal requesting the National Assembly to approve the dismissal of the positions of Minister of Finance and Minister of Transport for the 2021-2026 term.
Previously, the 13th Party Central Committee met on the morning of November 25 to review and give opinions on personnel so that the Politburo could decide to introduce them to the 15th National Assembly for approval of the positions of Minister of Finance and Minister of Transport.
Mr. Ho Duc Phoc was born in 1963, from Nghe An. He is a Doctor of Economics, a member of the Party Central Committee, 12th and 13th terms, and a delegate to the National Assembly, 14th and 15th terms.
In April 2016, he became State Auditor General and held this position for one term, until he was approved for appointment as Minister of Finance in 2021.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thang was born in 1973, from Hanoi.
He has a PhD in Monetary Theory Finance, is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee and a delegate to the 14th and 15th National Assembly.
He was approved to be appointed as Minister of Transport from October 2022 and hold this position for 2 years, until the National Assembly approves his dismissal to hold a new position.
