(NLDO) - The People's Petition and Supervision Committee proposed that the Government direct the inspection and evaluation of the implementation of regulations on extra teaching and learning.

In the report, the Committee for Petitions and Supervision recommended that the Standing Committee of the National Assembly request the Government and the Prime Minister to pay attention to directing a number of issues that voters are currently interested in. These include requesting the Ministry of Education and Training to strengthen inspection, supervision and evaluation of the current work of educating ethics, culture and lifestyle for students; inspect and evaluate the teaching of lecturers at universities; inspect and evaluate the implementation of regulations on extra teaching and learning to adjust if inappropriate.
Discussing at the meeting, basically agreeing with the Report of the People's Aspirations and Supervision Committee, Chairman of the Delegation Work Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai also acknowledged that from the People's Aspirations Work Report of the previous National Assembly to this one, many contents have been effectively implemented by agencies, especially contents related to extra teaching and learning with the quick, drastic and strong participation of the Ministry of Education and Training, as well as localities to rectify shortcomings and limitations.
"This shows that the influence of the Report on people's petitions as well as the decisions and directions of the National Assembly Standing Committee are very reasonable and have received much attention from the people," according to Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai.
In addition, from the issue raised in the National Assembly's Report on the People's Petitions on early admission to universities, the Ministry of Education and Training has also seen the unreasonable, the concerns, the unfairness caused by early admission, as well as creating conditions for profiteering in extra teaching. Because the teachers who directly teach students are also the ones who grade the students' exams. Importantly, these exam scores will be included in the student's transcript, which is the basis for admission to universities.
"This is no different from bidding in public investment. Teachers have the right to teach and give grades. And those grades are the basis for university admission." Emphasizing this shortcoming, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai also acknowledged that the Ministry of Education and Training has given strong instructions, thereby significantly reducing the shortcomings in early university admission.
However, there are some concerns about whether not being able to take extra classes will affect the quality of exams, as students prepare to take important exams. Regarding this issue, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai said that the authorities have taken preventive measures and regulations, including some legal regulations that have restored the true value of imparting and teaching formal knowledge in the classroom.
Accordingly, teachers must be responsible for teaching to ensure that the majority of students meet standards, even achieving good or better results in exams.
The questions must also be guaranteed not to be too difficult, confusing or require attending classes to solve. "These regulations have restored the true value of teaching in schools, as well as helping to avoid profiteering, conducting extra teaching and learning," said Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai.
People expect the organization to be streamlined.
According to Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for People's Aspirations and Supervision Duong Thanh Binh, voters and people trust and expect the drastic directions of the Party Central Committee, directly by General Secretary To Lam, the National Assembly, and the Government on implementing the policy of innovation, streamlining the organization and apparatus of the political system to operate effectively, efficiently, and effectively; the policy of exempting all tuition fees for students from preschool to high school in public schools nationwide of the Politburo...
