The contest was first held in 2011 with the name: "Deep memories of homeroom teachers and homeroom work". Since 2018, the contest has been called "Deep memories of teachers and school" and is held annually.
The writing contest "Deep memories of teachers and school" 2024 is an opportunity to spread the good feelings of students, parents towards teachers and schools, contributing to improving education, arousing the pride of each student towards the school, class and teachers.
The contest also recognizes and honors teachers who have good jobs and achievements, actively contribute to educational innovation, and educational institutions with many innovations and creativity in teaching; thereby encouraging teachers to overcome difficulties and continue to contribute to the education sector and society.
Contest entries focus on profound memories of teachers and school, such as: profound impressions of teachers that the author loves and admires, or the special impacts and influences of teachers on learning, perception, and changes in the author's personal life (or the author's friends and relatives).
Typical pedagogical situations and ways of solving them that the author has encountered or experienced demonstrate the professional capacity, creativity as well as the teachers' affection for students and for the profession.
Memories, impressions, and deep attachment to the school that the author or the author's friends and relatives have attended or are attending.
Previously, the 2023 Writing Contest "Deep Memories of Teachers and School" attracted over 80,000 entries. The Jury assessed that the quality of the entries was quite good, with many leaving a deep impression, due to the elaborate investment in both content and form of expression.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest Trieu Ngoc Lam, Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper said: “The writing contest is not only a literary playground, but also a meaningful journey to awaken the most genuine emotions in each of us. Through each word, each paragraph, we will see beautiful images of teachers, of the brilliant years of student life...”
Expressing his feelings about the contest, Do Ton Sa, a 12A2 student at Viet Duc High School, Hanoi, shared that with a very meaningful message, the contest has, is, and will help many students across the country like him have the opportunity to express his gratitude to the ferrymen who have nurtured the green buds of the future...
According to the Organizing Committee, the deadline for receiving entries is from the launch date to October 31, 2024. The contest is expected to conclude and award prizes in December 2024.
