Accordingly, the health sector strives to educate about the causes of the disease in about 70% of patients being managed at chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma management units. 50% of high-risk groups (elderly people, smokers, etc.) are informed about recommendations for early detection of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
In 2025, the health sector will continue to build 3 new standard management rooms at 3 district general hospitals; activities of detecting, consulting, treating, and managing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma will be integrated into the non-communicable disease management network, combined with family medicine doctors.
In addition, the health sector maintains 6 clubs for the prevention of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at 5 hospitals: Hanoi Lung, Xanh Pon, Dong Da, Ha Dong, Duc Giang, Thanh Nhan; and develops 2 new clubs at 2 hospitals.
The Hanoi Department of Health also requested the People's Committees of 30 districts, towns and cities to direct health centers and health departments to organize activities to prevent and control chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma in the area.
