At the Seminar, Mr. Tran Binh Minh, Member of the Board of Directors of PetroVietnam, gave an overview of the Group's 5 main areas of operation and proposed some potential cooperation directions between the two sides.
Expressing his impression of the Dominican Republic's more than 10 million tourists each year and the country's potential for developing the semiconductor industry, Mr. Tran Binh Minh said that the demand for energy here will increase, opening up opportunities for cooperation in many areas such as oil and gas exploration and exploitation; developing renewable energy projects, especially offshore wind power. In particular, offshore oil and gas exploration and search is considered an area that can be deployed soon. These cooperations not only meet Dominica's energy needs but also contribute to promoting bilateral relations between the two countries.

Recognizing that the Dominican Republic is a competitive and potential market, a representative of the Military Telecommunications Group (Viettel) also said that they will soon promote the search for cooperation opportunities with businesses in this country in the telecommunications sector.
Speaking at the seminar, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the opinions expressed, showing the interest and enthusiasm of businesses in promoting the connection between the two economies; at the same time, emphasizing that the two sides still have a lot of potential and opportunities for cooperation with very high feasibility.
According to the Prime Minister, the friendship between the two countries was laid by previous leaders. The two countries have similar ideals in the struggle for national independence, building a strong and prosperous country and bringing happiness and prosperity to the people; the two sides have very high political trust; both have a unique and long-standing culture; have important geopolitical positions in two dynamic regions, Latin America and Southeast Asia, both are fast-growing economies; the two economies can complement and promote each other's development. These are very important foundations and advantages for businesses of both countries to feel secure in investing.
The Prime Minister has directed Vietnamese enterprises to immediately implement the connection of the business communities of the two countries. The two sides will facilitate businesses to do business in the two countries, ensuring the legitimate and legal rights and interests of businesses; business must be profitable but must contribute to strengthening the relationship between the two countries, contributing to building a self-reliant and self-reliant economy; businesses must contribute to building two strong, self-reliant economies, growing by internal strength, by nature, people, and historical traditions; of course, this process cannot lack external resources. During this visit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Dominican leaders agreed to bring the relationship between the two countries to a new height, to a new stage of development. Accordingly, the two sides will continue to strengthen friendship and good political relations; negotiate and sign trade agreements, investment protection agreements, visa agreements to create a favorable legal foundation for businesses to cooperate, invest and promote travel and people-to-people exchange...
At the same time, the two sides have identified a number of specific projects to be implemented as soon as possible in the fields of oil and gas - energy; digital transformation, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, semiconductors; agriculture, fertilizer production, chemicals, rice; construction; electric vehicles... In these fields, Vietnam has large corporations and groups of the State and private sector that can cooperate and invest immediately.
