Ho Chi Minh City: A car was deformed after a four-vehicle accident, injuring two people and causing a two-hour traffic jam on Highway 1 on the morning of November 2.
At around 6am, a 10-ton truck carrying styrofoam boxes was traveling on Highway 1, heading from Thu Duc City towards An Suong roundabout. When approaching Tan Thoi Hiep overpass, passing through District 12, the truck suddenly hit the tractor-trailer in front. At this time, a 4-seater car and a container truck also crashed into the back of the truck, causing a chain collision.

At the scene, the 4-seater car was crushed and stuck between the truck and the tractor. The airbags were deployed, the roof, doors, and frame of the car were warped, the windshield and windows were shattered. The driver and another person in the car were injured and taken to the hospital.
The vehicles blocked the lanes, causing a 2km traffic jam on Highway 1 for two hours. By 9am, the traffic police had completed recording the scene and removed the vehicles involved in the accident.

According to police, two people suffered minor injuries that are not life-threatening. The cause of the accident may have been the truck driver not keeping a safe distance.
