(Dan Tri) - Mr. Tran Van Huyen (54 years old), Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hau Giang province, was elected Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
On the afternoon of February 12, the People's Council of Hau Giang province, term X, 2021-2026, held the 24th session (special session) and introduced personnel, elected the positions of Chairman of the People's Council, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the term 2021-2026.
Specifically, the session dismissed Mr. Tran Van Huyen from the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Hau Giang province, and at the same time introduced and elected Mr. Huyen as Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province for the 2021-2026 term.
As a result, Mr. Tran Van Huyen got 45/47 votes, accounting for more than 95%.
Mr. Huyen (born in 1971) is from Yen Phong commune, Yen Mo district, Ninh Binh province. Professional qualification: Master of Cultural Studies.
Mr. Huyen has held the positions of Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Long My District Party Committee; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hau Giang province, term X, 2021-2026.

Previously, Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee, was elected as Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
At this session, Mr. Dong Van Thanh was elected to hold the additional position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
The People's Council of Hau Giang province also introduced the election of Mr. Tran Chi Hung, Secretary of Long My District Party Committee, for the position of Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. The result was 45/47 votes in favor.
Mr. Tran Chi Hung (51 years old) is from Mot Ngan town, Chau Thanh A district, Hau Giang province.

Mr. Hung has a professional qualification as a Hydraulic Engineer. Before being elected as Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, Mr. Hung held the positions of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Secretary of Long My District Party Committee.
The meeting also dismissed Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen from the position of Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee. Previously, Mr. Tuyen was assigned by the Central Party Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee.
