At the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador Dang Xuan Dung, as Chairman of ARC, cut the ribbon to open the Amazing ASEAN Week 2023 and together with ASEAN Ambassadors, Ambassador of Djibouti - Head of the Diplomatic Mission in Riyadh and leaders of the Lulu supermarket chain in Riyadh cut the cake to celebrate the event promoting ASEAN products sold at Lulu supermarkets, one of the largest retail names in the Middle East.
At this event, Vietnam introduced 20 new products to the market, including agricultural products, rice, fruits, processed coconut products, cashew nuts, seafood, etc. Lulu supermarket leaders said that the total value of goods imported from Vietnam by this supermarket chain in August was up to 2.44 million USD.

Vietnamese goods this year are very rich and diverse, especially fruit products that have received great attention from customers. Just after the opening day of the event, many types of Vietnamese fruits such as custard apple, soursop, jackfruit, etc. were sold out.
In particular, during the week of the event, the Vietnamese Embassy maintained a booth promoting the image of Vietnam as well as introducing some Vietnamese flavors to invite customers at the supermarket such as coffee, shrimp crackers, cashew nuts, etc.

Customers after tasting Vietnamese instant coffee were very impressed, many of them asked for information about where to buy Vietnamese coffee so they could enjoy it regularly.
This is the third time ASEAN countries have coordinated to organize the Amazing ASEAN event to promote the image of the country, culinary culture, and products of each ASEAN member country, while connecting businesses and promoting exports from the ASEAN region to Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia is the largest market in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), with a large demand for good quality agricultural and food products such as: fresh and dried fruits, rice, noodles, cashew nuts, confectionery, chocolate, spices, canned foods, fruit juices, cosmetics, garments, footwear, medical equipment, charcoal, etc.
