Join forces to bring the capsized boat ashore after catching 1.5 tons of herring

A fishing boat of Ha Tinh fishermen went out to sea and caught a big catch of nearly 1.5 tons of herring. While returning, the boat capsized and had to be rescued by many people and brought to shore.

On the morning of March 10, Mr. Nguyen Cong Huong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thach Tri Commune (Ha Tinh City) - said that many local people had just organized support to bring a fisherman's boat that had capsized to shore after a trip out to sea with a big catch of herring.

Accordingly, on the morning of March 9, Mr. Ho Phi Anh (54 years old, residing in Toan Thang village, Thach Tri commune) and another fisherman took a boat under 24CV to the local sea about 9 nautical miles from shore to catch seafood.

Here, the fishermen discovered a large school of herring so they spread their nets together to catch it. At about 8am the same day, two fishermen pulled the nets and pulled a catch of about 1.5 tons of herring onto the boat.

However, when the boat returned near the shore, due to the big waves, the boat was quite heavy, causing it to capsize and unable to reach the shore. Faced with this situation, the two fishermen immediately left the boat, calling on dozens of people and tractors to join forces to pull the boat and the netted fish to shore safely.

Currently, the price of herring is purchased by traders at about 20,000 VND/kg. With about 1.5 tons of herring caught, it has brought in a significant income.

According to the leader of the People's Committee of Thach Tri commune, this locality has nearly 200 small-capacity boats fishing near shore, of which about 80 boats exploit herring.

For about a week now, fishermen in the commune and coastal areas have had big catches of herring every time they go out to sea.
