"For the first time, I felt "happy" when I went to help my fellow countrymen and "got" to wait in line for my turn.
And that is rich material for my future lesson plan to add lessons about caring and sharing."
The above is the feeling of teacher Tran Tuan Anh, a civics teacher at Colette Secondary School, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, when he came to contribute to support the people in the North affected by storms and floods, initiated by Tuoi Tre newspaper.
The following is the teacher's sharing sent to Tuoi Tre Online .
Humanity in the lesson plan
After finishing 3 teaching periods, I hurried to the Tuoi Tre newspaper office to send some sympathy to the people in the North.
Although I have been to the editorial office many times, I feel strange today.
The security guard asked and pointed to the reader reception room. He nodded with a look that seemed to "say thank you" to me.
For the first time, I felt "happy" when I went to help my fellow countrymen and "got" to wait in line for my turn.
Before me was a group of elementary school students led by their teacher to share with the people.
Envelopes are held by philanthropists sitting along a row of tables in the newspaper's reader reception room.
People came and went, and thanks were shouted back and forth between readers and the staff of the office. The newspaper thanks the readers for their hearts, and the readers thank the newspaper for being the bridge to the people.
Sitting and scrolling through my phone, I read an article from Tuoi Tre newspaper about humanity during a storm: " It has become a habit that before every unexpected disaster, the entire apparatus of Tuoi Tre newspaper shakes and moves.
Field workers closely follow every centimeter of rain and water, people synthesize news from many sources, people receive support resources, people organize immediate relief activities...".

Geographical distances between regions seem to disappear, every centimeter, every millimeter, every minute, every second, every smallest unit of time, hoping that the loss and grief will gradually decrease, reducing the suffering of our people.

More lessons on "caring and sharing"
As a teacher with more than 15 years of teaching civics at secondary school level, for me, preparing lessons before going to class is extremely enjoyable.
From finding documents, images, videos... taking care of each lecture slide as if it were absorbed into me and then conveying it to students - civics, a subject closely linked to the "breath" of life.
With the lessons "Caring, sympathizing, sharing" in grade 7 and "Actively participating in community activities" in grade 9, I immediately thought of the love and help of people during storm number 3 in the North.
If before, every time I found good documents, I would happily download them and quickly put them into each lecture slide.
But today, in front of the images and videos of the storm, I paused, wondering where to start my lecture. Choking up, all ideas seemed to stop because the loss of my compatriots was too great.
The storm blew so hard that large trees were uprooted and scattered, solid walls collapsed, and corrugated iron roofs flew away in the strong howling sound of wind and rain...
In that wave, policemen and soldiers climbed up to the roofs to carry the elderly and children as if they were their own loved ones. Dogs and cats were also "not forgotten".
Then the water rose, the rocks and soil buried them, the women's cries were deafening, the men's eyes were red, along with coffins lined up, tears flowed in the flood...
I couldn't continue writing, I fell asleep while the documents were still cluttered on the computer.
Lessons of caring, sharing and then moving on...
The lesson plan page opens with touching things
After Typhoon Yagi, witnessing stories of humanity, in the coming days my lesson plan will continue to open, students will have wide eyes when listening to the teacher tell touching stories conveyed in Tuoi Tre newspaper.
That is the "Grain of Sand" of love worth 1 billion VND of professor Le Ngoc Thach, a 53-year-old tricycle driver who saved all week with small bills totaling 1.4 million VND, pots of banh chung and banh tet on fire during the "mid-autumn" season of people in the South and Central regions...
All are looking towards the beloved North.
And, the unison of teachers and students in the classroom will resound with the ancient folk songs that have always had the same value as the Vietnamese people: Gourd, please love the squash/ Although they are different species, they are on the same trellis; Red silk covers the mirror/ People in the same country must love each other "...
