On January 14, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province announced that it had received over 160 billion VND in support to overcome storm No. 3, including over 155 billion VND in cash and over 8 billion VND in-kind support (converted to money).
Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on September 10, 2024, the Quang Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee issued a letter calling on agencies, units, organizations, enterprises, philanthropists, cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, and people inside and outside the province to support the people of Quang Ninh province to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3.
Pursuant to Decree No. 93/2021/ND-CP dated October 27, 2021 of the Government on mobilizing, receiving, distributing and using voluntary contributions to support overcoming difficulties caused by natural disasters, epidemics, incidents; supporting patients with serious illnesses, on November 25, 2024, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee announced the end of the campaign to mobilize and receive support for people in Quang Ninh province affected by storm No. 3 after 24:00 on December 8, 2024.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee - Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee publicly announced the results of the mobilization, receipt and distribution of funds to support the people.
According to statistics, Quang Ninh received over 155 billion VND in cash support; over 8 billion VND in kind support (converted to cash) to overcome the damage of storm No. 3. From the support fund, Quang Ninh has provided emergency support to 10,300 households in 13 localities affected by the storm with 10.3 billion VND; support with addresses (according to the sponsor's request) of over 2 billion VND; additional support for forest owners who are households and individuals engaged in forestry production with damage of over 30% of the amount of over 38 billion VND.
The largest amount of support for aquaculture households and individuals in affected localities is over 92 billion VND. All in-kind support has been distributed.
The remaining budget of over 11 billion VND will be continued by Quang Ninh to support work according to regulations.
