Many southern provinces reap bumper profits from tourism on September 2nd holiday

Increase revenue simultaneously

According to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province, the number of tourists visiting and staying in the province during the 4-day holiday (from August 31 to September 3, 2024) reached about 385,000 visitors.

The number of tourists enjoying the beach in the southern provinces increased sharply on the occasion of September 2nd holiday.

Accordingly, the number of visitors increased 3.3 times compared to the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors were about 9,700, with revenue of about 510 billion VND.

During the holidays, the number of guests is concentrated on August 31 and September 1. The average room occupancy rate is from 80 - 95%, with many establishments reaching 100% occupancy.

Domestic tourists to Binh Thuan mostly come from Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, the Southern provinces, and some Northern provinces. The areas of Ham Tien, Mui Ne, Tien Thanh, Tuy Phong, Ham Thuan Nam, La Gi, and Phu Quy Island attract many visitors for sightseeing and relaxation.

According to the assessment, in addition to the above coastal tourist destinations, eco-tourism models in Ham Thuan Bac and Tanh Linh districts are attractive new destinations, contributing to diversifying tourism products.

Especially at NovaWorld Phan Thiet, fireworks and water festivals are organized, attracting a large number of tourists to visit and have fun.

There are highways and major roads, making it convenient for tourists to travel.

Meanwhile, according to Mr. Trinh Hang, Director of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Department of Tourism, during the 4-day September 2 holiday, the number of visitors to this province was higher than in 2023.

The total number of tourists visiting in 4 days is estimated at about 565,086, an increase of 6.61% compared to 2023. Total tourism revenue reached over 348 billion VND, an increase of 16.65% compared to 2023.

Districts, towns and cities are all well prepared to welcome visitors for sightseeing and relaxation.

Throughout the province, there are promotional programs for tourists on room rates and accompanying services in hotels and resorts.

Tourists excitedly immerse themselves in the clear blue water.

Many districts, towns and cities organize events such as the Tiger Crystal Rave water music event called "Tuborg Open Your Music" on August 31, 2024 at the Flagpole yard and September 1, 2024 on the beach in the San Ho Xanh area.

Many attractive domestic tours attract visitors

On the afternoon of September 3, information from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism showed that during the September 2 holiday, the tourism industry welcomed about 1 million visitors, of which domestic tourists were estimated at about 425,000, an increase of 1.2% over the same period in 2023.

People are excited to take their children and grandchildren out for the holiday.

International arrivals were about 38,800, up 3.2% over the same period in 2023. Over 214,000 guests stayed. Tourism revenue reached nearly 3,000 billion VND, up 1.7% over the same period in 2023 (in 2023 it was 2,890 billion VND).

In Ho Chi Minh City, the tourism industry has deployed to tourist accommodation establishments, ensuring security for tourists and improving the quality of tourism services.

"It is estimated that during the holiday, Saigon Waterbus will receive about 4,000 passengers per day, the number of trips will increase by 50% compared to normal days, these days we run about 55 trips per day," said Mr. Hung.

Suoi Tien tourist area also welcomes a large number of visitors.

In addition, the tourism product of visiting the national architectural and artistic relics of the People's Council and People's Committee headquarters of Ho Chi Minh City also attracted visitors. Over the two days of August 31 and September 1, it attracted nearly 2,000 visitors.

In Dong Nai, the total number of visitors, accommodation and entertainment at tourist areas and spots in the province is about 82,000, an increase of 5.1% over the same period in 2023. Revenue from tourism services reached 60 billion VND, an increase of 20% over the same period in 2023.

Some areas and spots that receive large numbers of visitors include: Son Tien with 20,000 visitors, Suoi Mo with 15,000 visitors. Buu Long, Vuon Xoai, Giang Dien, Bo Cap Vang, and Cat Tien National Park tourist areas attract from 4 to 8,000 visitors.
