Chairman Do Van Chien said that our Party and State always identify the people as the subject and target of all policies and must implement the motto: "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit".
On November 14, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien attended and celebrated the National Great Unity Day - Military-Civilian Cultural Festival and received the title of "Model New Rural Residential Area" in 2024 with the people of Dinh Cao village, Dinh Cao commune, Phu Cu district, Hung Yen province.
In the jubilant atmosphere of the Festival, Chairman Do Van Chien expressed his joy when joining the joy with the people of Dinh Cao Residential Area. Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized that today's joy is "tripled" when the Festival is held together with the Military-Civilian Cultural Festival and receives the title of "Model New Rural Residential Area".
Chairman Do Van Chien shared that in every revolutionary period, our Party and State always identify the position and role of the people as especially important. During his lifetime, Uncle Ho advised: "In the sky, there is nothing more precious than the people, in this world, there is nothing stronger than the strength of people's solidarity".
Therefore, our Party and State always identify the people as the subject and target of all policies and must implement the motto: "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit".
According to Chairman Do Van Chien, in all institutions (province, district, commune, village), the residential area is the most important. In each family, if someone encounters something unfortunate or risky, people cry out "Oh village, oh country", no one cries out "Oh province, oh district". The country represents the regime, the village is the residential area, the closest place that can help people immediately, "when the lights go out, we help each other", "when distant brothers are absent, there are nearby neighbors", "the village elders receive the country's dignitaries"...
Chairman Do Van Chien said that, through research, Vietnamese villages were formed about 4,000 years ago. History has gone through many ups and downs, villages have changed a lot, but what remains is still "village affection", a beautiful culture, the soul of Vietnamese culture. Homeland and hometown are very sacred to each person. A poet and musician wrote: Each person has only one homeland, if they forget it, they cannot grow up to be a human being. Homeland is a very sacred thing.
According to Chairman Do Van Chien, based on that, the recent 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front agreed to add an Action Program to "Promote the role of mastery and self-management of the people, build a united, prosperous and happy residential area."
Acknowledging, praising and appreciating the results that Dinh Cao Residential Area has achieved in the past time, Chairman Do Van Chien affirmed that this time attending the Great Solidarity Festival with the people, he further saw the important role and position of the Party Cell Secretary, Village Chief and Front Work Committee in the Residential Area.
The poverty and near-poverty rate in Dinh Cao residential area is still insignificant. Out of over 1,000 households, only 5 are poor and 15 are near-poor; 80% of households classify organic waste right at home; 97% of households are recognized as Cultural Families; 100% of households have access to clean and hygienic water. People have donated thousands of square meters of land to build clean and bright rural roads, village roads, and alleys. Many meaningful movements... Through these movements, "village love and neighborhood love" are increasingly closely linked together, solidarity and consensus are higher, and the material and spiritual life of the people is improved.
Sharing joy with the people at the Festival, Chairman Do Van Chien also informed that recently, the Politburo and General Secretary To Lam have directed the Prime Minister and the Vietnam Fatherland Front to launch the movement "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" for meritorious households and families in difficulty with very high political determination. In 2025, more than 330,000 houses will be completed to practically celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country, and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification.
To achieve the goal, we focus on 3 strategic breakthroughs: perfecting institutions, building synchronous and modern infrastructure... We reorganize the human resource apparatus, remove bottlenecks, clear capital sources for development, and rearrange the apparatus to be streamlined and effective. At the same time, we continue to prevent corruption, waste, and negativity. Promote the strength of the Great National Unity, practice "people are the root"; "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit".
Regarding Dinh Cao residential area, Chairman Do Van Chien hopes that the residential area has achieved the title of "Model New Rural Residential Area", and needs to be maintained and further improved.
Chairman Do Van Chien also hopes that all the people in Dinh Cao Residential Area will promote their strengths, overcome difficulties, focus on economic development, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty and strive to get rich. At the same time, preserve and promote the good cultural identity of the Residential Area and promote the spirit of solidarity and consensus "help each other when the lights go out", protect the environment, maintain security and order, and prevent social evils.
Chairman Do Van Chien advised the residents: “No matter how difficult it is, we must create conditions for our children to go to school. Study culture, learn a trade, learn how to do business.”
Chairman Do Van Chien shared that during his work, he grew up in mountainous provinces and ethnic minority areas. This was the first time he attended the National Great Unity Day in the plains. He felt very happy because he saw that everything for us was much better. The happiest and most joyful thing was that the people were at peace. When the people were at peace, the country would certainly prosper...
At the Festival, Chairman Do Van Chien sent his best wishes to all people for good health. May everyone and every family be happy and together build our country to develop prosperously, civilizedly and happily. "Unity, unity, great unity - Success, success, great success.
